Booked this hotel as it was near Coronation Street Tour and we were certainly not disappointed. Very welcoming receptionists. Bright clean rooms and such comfortable beds!!. Only downside is that windows don't open, and air con is a bit noisy. Breakfast was really lovely and the facility to leave your luggage in the hotel is brilliant. Staff are very helpful.... More

Dear Pauline202014, Thank you for choosing The V&A Marriott for your stay in the city. I was pleased with your overall feedback, however I have pointed down the comment our staff in the bar and passed them to our Food and Beverage Manager to ensure corrective action is taken to avoid similar circumstances in the future. Looking forward to welcome... More

A perfectly pleasant hotel within walking distance of all the shops and nightlife. Staff were pleasant but shame about the cost of the drinks and coffees in the bar-extortionate prices. £4,50 for a coffee! The room was large with two beds, good very comfy beds and pillows, nicely decorated. I'd stay again.

We booked this short break as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations (the hotel did not know that at time of booking), when we arrived a very helpful member of reception staff asked if we would be interested in upgrading our room to be a suite which included breakfast and valet parking. We did this at a cost of £40... More

Stayed here over a weekend, greeted by welcoming staff who couldn't do enough to help. Foyer was really decorated well, very warm and welcoming as where the rooms and bar/restaurant. Lots of comfy seating throughout, very clean. Comfy beds wardrobe was a bit of a struggle to hand clothes as the desk was in the way. Paid £8.50 for a... More

Nice king-sized bed, which was a welcome change from our other hotels during our trip. Nicely decorated with exposed brick. Hard to find outlets. Internet not included, which we would have expected from an American-based hotel chain. I am 5'6" and the shower head was at eye level; too short for my 6'1" husband. It had a nice tub, but... More

This hotel is truly beautiful with fantastic character, being on old textile mill on the side of the canal. I will start briefly with the downsides; the shower has barely any power, the wifi costs £6 a day and the walls are slightly on the thin side. But - with these exceptions, I have nothing else to provide as a... More

The hotel building has its own feature. It is different from other hotel. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable. The room that we stayed has nice view from the window. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choices and I really enjoyed the breakfast with the view of a river nearby.

For the price this hotel is not worth it. We booked a room for our anniversary having never stayed here before due to the cost of a room.
