Me & my fiance stayed here last week, via a 1/2 price offer. Id looked at the management pictures before arriving, and I was surprised to find the hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures portray it. However, we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who told us the relevant information we needed to know. Getting to our room, after climbing...

We stayed there for one night - it all looked quite good on the web but it was not worth the money we paid for the room! The room was quite small (not like what it shows on the picture) and dark; the view from the room was poor (faces backsides of the old building (poor); not the Cathedral!). Bathroom...

Was really looking forward to staying here as tbh the pics on Booking.com and the hotel website made the rooms and hotel look far superior than they actually were. The bars and public areas and reception look very tired and dated as was our room and the stairways etc. The best thing about the room was the view from our...

Fantastic location, adjacent to the Cathedral and within ten minutes walk of Manchester City football stadium which is also Manchester Arena. The Corn Exchange, with numerous individual eateries and Print Works, which has various chain eateries are within 4 minutes walk. Manchester's Arndale Centre is 5 minutes walk. The hotel interior requires redecorating but it was clean, staff were helpful...

The first night I was greeted by a friendly mouse in the bathroom. I reported this and the next day was moved to another room (apparently mice cant climb stairs.... yes you heard that right). The receptionist didnt bat an eyelid either so she knows fine well it's a problem. Worrying in a place that serves food. The second room...

Booked a one night stay as going to the arena. Booked a twin room and said it had a view but we were given a family room with 3 single beds and the view we had was a wall 3 feet away! The room was clean and beds were ok although cosmetically like the rest of the hotel it needs...

Stayed at the Mitre for a night. It's location is very central and ideal for shopping etc. If your driving expect to pay for parking as the hotel is on pedestrianised area if Manchester. As you walk out of the door it's next to the cathedral so you can't get more central than that. I paid £29 for a single...

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. The staff were reasonably ok. The hotel needs a serious refurb-there's paint chipped off the bannisters. Damp in the rooms, rusted radiators, creaky floors, dirty bathrooms. I got no sleep staying here due to other residents screaming, shouting & vomiting outside my door. Staying here ruined our trip. I would never stay here...

Fantastic value for a twin room, shared bathroom, £29 for the night, excellent location, with everything on the door step, went to watch Billy Elliot at the Palace Theatre, a short walk away, which was truly amazing. Yep, the hotel was a bit tired looking and it is a very old building, but the beds we comfy and clean, the...
