Detailed Reviews
We had a really good stay here on New Years Eve (so much so we decided in the morning to extend by an extra night and make a weekend of it!)
You can tell the hotel is new, and it feels like the staff are still getting into their groove a bit, but their friendliness and professionalism more than made up for that.
The rooms were basic but clean / functional (shower was great), although storage space is limited compared to other hotels at this price range in the city.. finding space for a couple of drawers somewhere in the room would make a big difference.
The drink at check in was appreciated, the prices of drinks to take up to the room from the fridge were decent (we liked that they took these out of the room deposit rather than charging again on top), the location is fantastic, and it was pretty easy to extend by one night (although it was disappointing they couldn't offer a better price than booking with Booking.com - considering Booking take a % of the fee it would make sense for them to incentivise guests to book direct again in future).
We tend to get a weekend away in Manchester every couple of months, and unless its a special occasion and we head somewhere fancy, this will be our go to hotel for future stays.

This was my first time using the Moxy brand and I couldn't fault it. It was a business trip where I needed something functional to stay over in and this was ideal. It does not have the amenities of the larger hotels so I wouldn't stay here if I wanted anything more than a base for a quick trip or with family or partner etc, but it does have everything you need for an overnight. It was welcoming, clean and had been really well designed. Reception is also the bar and they were friendly and welcoming. A quick check-in process and I was off to the room. The room was clean and functional with a very comfy bed. I would definitely use the Moxy again and would recommend it to others. The breakfast was £10 and had everything I wanted, maybe not the range of items found in a larger hotel but it had a great range of items on offer anyway from the continental section. The hotel has obviously been designed for an easy process from checking in and cleaning the rooms to the free wifi etc. I did like the fact they have a dedicated ironing room too on each floor.

+1
I loved this Moxy Hotel. It is well located downtown close to major attractions.
It is also really quiet.
My room was on top floor and this is a plus not because of the view but because it is quiet.
The room itself is not big but really well organized.
The bathroom is tiny and can only hold one person but again it is nicely designed and organized.
The whole hotel is spotless.
You can reach the hotel using the free local yellow Bus#2 from the stations ( coach or train).
The lounge is also really comfy if you wish to relax.
No complain regarding the breakfirst charged 10 pounds which offers a great choice.
Maybe I would request a better coffee and omettes quality.
You will find within 1 minute walk restaurants, cafes and Sainsbury's/Tesco.
The TV is also great with Chromecast capability but unfortunately there are mostly free to air channels ( no sport, nor movies)

I had a free night on my Bonvoy account so used this voucher for our nights stay. We parked at the recommended NCP car park nearby (use the NCP app and get a 50% discount code at reception - £15 for 24 hrs).
As soon as you walk in you know this is a fun hotel - checkin at the bar and a funky interior design. Check in was efficient and we were soon in our room on the 5th floor. Rooms are a little small (and bathroom even smaller) but fine for a short stay. Bed was comfortable.
We opted for the breakfast in the morning and glad we did (Platinum Bonvoy members get $10 per person towards the cost). All the items on the hot buffet were tasty and hot so really enjoyed our breakfast.
So glad we chose the Moxy so would stay at this brand again.

If you enjoy having the light turned on every 10 minutes whilst you try to sleep then this hotel is for you! This otherwise nice hotel was ruined by the absolutely BRAINDEAD decision to install motion activated lighting in the room which cannot be switched off. Every time you rollover in bed or make a slight movement the bright underbed lighting will turn on instantly. We phoned the front desk and they said it couldn't be switched off. We complained in the morning and it was obvious this happens to everybody and they get this complaint all the time, the staff didn't seem to care at all. The people who designed this are idiots.

A friendly welcome, I was impressed by the lobby bar area, and live DJ playing house music on Friday evening. An immaculate new and clean property throughout.
The room had a Scandi-Minimalist vibe and a massive floor to ceiling window with some nice design considerations, such as downlighting under the bed. Lack of wardrobes/draws would be an inconvenience for longer stays, but perfect for my night in Deansgate and Spinningfields. I also wish the a/c could be turned off, as I found it rather loud to sleep with.
Breakfast was good and being regularly restocked. Parking at NCP Spinningfields was £15 for 17 hours.
I would stay here again.

Really easy check in process. Very attractive and comfortable lobby area, great meeting place. Excellent location especially for AO Arena.
Room was small but absolutely fine for what we needed as only in it a short time. Bed was comfortable and everything was spotless clean. Huge window let in loads of light and sun which was lovely.
Water is boiling hot so be careful! I had it set at 16 degrees and still hot.
Cups in the room are paper, yes they can be recycled but surely mugs are more sustainable?
Only issue was the lights under the bed, I really like the concept to help you see in the night if you have to get up but they’re really bright! If the bulbs could be changed it would be better, unfortunately everyone gets woken up by them.
Other than that small issue I really liked it, would definitely use again.

We stayed on the Moxy for one night, the hotel itself is very good, and fulfilled our requirement which was an overnight stay in central Manchester. It is certainly value for money. The room was basic but comfortable, and very clean. We did not eat breakfast there so cannot comment on the food. The reason I gave this hotel a low rating was that in the bathroom were plastic glasses, each of which was wrapped in a large plastic bag. I don't go with the we are doing this because of covid, they are doing this because it's easy to clear rooms and throw everything out. The fact that all this plastic is going into landfill courtesy of this hotel group doesn't lie easily with me. Instead of a cocktail, how about some glass tumblers (not expensive) and get rid of the plastic for the sake of us all, the environment and future generations?

It’s all about location location location, it is brilliantly placed for a night/weekend right in the City!
Loved the place, NCP 2 minutes walk away which you get a -50% code.
Great check in, trendy place and a real cool vibe.
We didn’t eat or drink as Hawksmoor is next door for dinner and The Ivy is 1 minute walk away so we had breakfast there as a treat.
Room was spotless, compact but totally adequate, only downside was the room was really warm, despite the air on the room was much hotter than the 16* lowest setting, other than that it’s bang on, we will definitely use this again.

I recently stayed at Moxy Manchester with a friend for one night and it was perfect for what we wanted. Bed was super comfy, room very clean and modern with all necessary amenities. The lobby was modern and well decorated and the staff who checked us in were extremely helpful and allowed us to leave our bags before getting the train home. All in all the perfect hotel after a long day in the city - will definitely be back!!

There is loads of parking within a few minutes walk, including the Manchester Central Convention Centre which is 6 minutes walk from the Moxy
There’s a great buffet that includes an egg dish and bacon. I’m not a fan of beans but I recall mushrooms.
I don’t recall a laundry service and the set up and style is not really likely to offer it, for me it is a hotel for business stays for a couple nights or a couple nights and days for football or cricket or theatre/pop concert and not for a long enough holiday to need laundry
