Fantastic location for the centre, just a couple of minutes walk to everything! Hotel is VERY tall, another bonus if you don't know the area, you can see your hotel from near enough everywhere lol! Ample parking spaces, lovely large room, friendly, helpful staff, highly recommended :)

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed Saturday night for first family city break since restrictions eased. It was a bargain at £35 and already planning to come back! The family room was excellent, clean and modern. We requested a cot when booking and this wasn't in the room when we arrived but came within 5 mins of notifying reception. All staff were friendly and helpful. Kids loved the escalator, playing in the spacious room and the great view across the river to the cathedral. Despite being the first Saturday night since pubs reopened fully we had no problems with noise. The beds were comfy and shower hot. For me it easily trumps Travelodge for comfort, friendliness and size of room. Hairdryer a bonus instead of having to ask at reception like at Travelodge! Great location a few steps from tram, cathedral and shops. A short hop on the tram or free bus to all the museums.

Great central location with great value parking. Would recommend for anyone wanting a great value location and comfortable stay especially if you want a comfy bed and a bar to grab a few early drinks before heading out. Exactly what you expect from premier inn, good standard.

This was the third time for my husband and I to stay at this hotel and yet again we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were immediately given a warm welcome by the lady on reception and throughout our time at the hotel all staff came across as friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights, the same as we did in July 2018 and July 2019. I considered calling the hotel prior to our arrival to request a room on a higher floor as we like a view of the city but I did not get around to doing so. I was therefore delighted when I was told we had been allocated a room on the 9th floor and on arrival at our room even more pleased to see we had a beautiful view overlooking the city. The room itself was immaculately clean. We had everything we could want and the air conditioning was fabulous! Our visit was during the heatwave the UK was experiencing and it was an absolute pleasure and delight to be in that room! I have been staying at Premier Inn for almost 20 years and to be fair you cannot fault their high standards at a fantastic price. We had a bath, fantastic powerful shower and an extremely comfortable bed we did not want to leave. We enjoyed a drink in the bar on both evenings and took drinks to our room and the service we received on both nights was faultless. The bar was also very well decorated and exceptionally clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend this Premier Inn and we cannot wait to return again next July!

public areas are very run down and needing some TLC, considering the hotel would have been closed for some time during lockdown, not sure why it has not had a bit of a makeover. rooms are ok, typical premier, beds are showing their age, a bit squeaky and noisy, rooms could do with a coat of paint, showers not great, more like a dripping tap than a rainfall!! lots of noise in the hotel all night, doors banging closed constantly. car park is very tight, spaces are too small, lots on contractors using the hotel, which is acceptable of course, but that leads to lots of vans taking up two parking bays, not great. breakfast was good, choice and quality good value for the price.
