A trip to Strasbourg was to relax and unwind was just what i needed, and exactly what I got at Chateau de Pourtales. Upon my arrival i was confused with the layout of the hotel and know wonder the chateau was built hundreds of years ago. I was escorted to my room and shown where breakfast would be and had...

We only stayed for one night in the main building not the annex, a lovely Chateau with peaceful surroundings. As we are senior citizens we found the stairs to our first floor room a little tiring, had we stayed longer we would have asked for a ground floor room. The two young ladies at reception were very helpful and the...

We are two senior ladies travelling in Europe. When we arrived at the Chateau the owner happened to be in the lobby and he graciously carried our suitcases up to our room since ther are no elevators. Our room was very spacious with floor to ceiling windows, wardrobe, desk and chaise lounge. The beds were very comfortable with large pillows....

Historic place with a fair price. Nice choice for the region. Warm people and a large room giving a true sense of a chateau experience, with a picturesque atmosphere and quiet surroundings. Very close to the town if you have a car. I recommend it.

It's a gorgeous property. And the rooms were very clean and well kept. Clean sheets clean linen and staff was quite helpful. Parking is on the property. The time we went To Strasbourg though it was gloomy. The city had fog over it all day and it was raining. Having that setting the hotel was a little scary. Like a...

My husband and I spent a night here while we were in Strasbourg and loved it! It's a beautiful chateau! We biked in from Strasbourg and it was about a 30 minute bike ride. We enjoyed being out of the city a bit. Our room was comfy and the breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We found this place by accident, but what a find. About a 10 minute drive from Strasbourg city centre, but it's well worth it. The main building is used for events, but the stables have been converted to lovely rooms. We arrive late after a great evening in Strasbourg, and were greeted warmly at rception. After the formalities we were...

Absolutely excellent. I think the comments about the hotel being 'rundown' and the breakfast being 'not great' reflect an age difference. It is 'old'...if you want modern/boutique......well...look somewhere else. If you want a period French chateau feel.....it is excellent value. It is very much a couples/relaxed location......if you are looking for a base for a quick experience of Strasbourg.....it is...
