Such a shoddy offer. The place was under construction and patched up. Noisy, dusty, dirty. Rooms like shoeboxes, pillows unsubstantial, but at least the bed was comfortable. Shower decent, but only enough hot water for one person. Breakfast pitiful. Raw eggs, cold coffee & certainly not fresh baguettes. Perhaps they were fresh the day they bought them. We did receive...

This rather small family-owned hotel is located in Krutenau, a few hundred meters from the Cathedral and the city center but still a bit away from the tourist masses. It is both reasonably priced and reasonably comfortable - not the super fancy rooms but they include all the required facilities. Breakfast (included) is good too. A place for people who...

I stayed here whilst on a business trip to Strasbourg. It's located near the river which means beautiful architecture. It is also located just a short walk from a tram stop which is ideal for getting about Strasbourg. It is basic but the hotel was clean with a good wifi connection and was relatively quiet. I do advise having breakfast...

The hotel is in a perfect position, very close to the centre of Strasbourg and to the university. The rooms are nice and extremely clean. The staff is friendly. It is a pity they do not have an elevator.

My daughter and I stayed in the Hotel de L'Ill just ten days ago and thoroughly enjoyed two night there. The rooms were spotless and the beds were as comfortable as any bed could be. The reception we received was warm and very friendly and helpful. This, we gathered was a family hotel and as such should be appreciated for...

I stayed at the Hotel de L'ill for about a week on a trip to Strasbourg. I would stay with them again in a heartbeat! Upon arriving, Marilyn took time to show us maps of the city and make recommendations for restaurants and sight-seeing, and she continued to be helpful throughout the week. Every morning when we got up she...

A quaint and pleasant hotel! The staff shows care and concern about your comfort, safety, and having a positive experience in Strasbourg. The rooms are small and simple by American standards, but anyone who has researched the European hotel experience should expect that. Complimentary continental breakfast every day is far superior to the American equivalent. If you want it to...

There are several things to recommend this hotel. The location is good, walking distance to the centre and on the number 10 bus route from the centre, spotlessly clean, welcoming and helpful staff and reasonably priced. However, it remains a very basic 2 star hotel. It has no lift, fine if you are there for a day or two, but...

We stayed 2 nights in this small family hotel. Welcome was very friendly. The rooms are relatively small and out of date but clean. Our room had air conditioning and access to a Terrasse on the rear side (room 8). We loved the simple but good breakfast which was served in a cozy living room downstairs. Wifi worked but it...

“We were informed in advance of the size of our room when we made our late reservation and that was not a negative for us because we primarily use it only for sleeping. We did notice the hotel has larger rooms with larger bathrooms.”
