From the moment we arrived we knew that we had found somewhere quite special. Gabrielle was so welcoming and the hotel itself is an absolute gem. Our room was beautiful, and spotless, with a small terrace looking out over rue Boulan. The bed was very comfortable, the hot water was hot (not always the case we've found!) and there was...

A perfect stay in Bordeaux. Fantastic and classy location. Stunning room with very comfortable bed. It was also wonderful to sit on the balcony having a coffee 👌! The breakfast in the morning was delicious - we loved the homemade yogurt and the good quality meat and cheese! Interesting exploring the cool cave in the basement. The friendly and accommodating...

Ideal location and short walk to museums. Breakfast delicious with homemade yoghurt. Hosts very friendly and welcoming, with a wine cellar in basement where we enjoyed a few glasses of wine with the hosts.

This is a really top find. Gabrielle and her husband are the perfect host. Right in the middle of Bordeaux, so everything can be accessed on foot. Great breakfast and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

Location was ideal, walking distance to everything, very central. We occupied the whole place, 5 rooms, all of which were lovely. The wine tasting with canapés was very interesting, and was my highlight of the weekend, the wine enthusiast in the group was in his element! The cellar is a lovely place. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of fruit available. Gabriella...

Gabriella & Gilles were charming and welcoming hosts. The room was lovely, very comfortable bed and lots of hot water in the shower. Breakfast is excellent, all really fresh and tasty, and it`s a pleasant and easy walk into the centre of the old town. Can definitely recommend this as an excellent place to stay - and for France, very...

I cannot praise highly enough the personal service, attention and generosity we received during our stay at this charming boutique hotel in Bordeaux. The location is ideal - a short walk into the historic city centre, but tucked away in a side street where there is little noise or traffic. The rooms are beautifully decorated and luxurious. Gabriella and Gilles...

Always seeking the small gems of hotels with truly personable hosts, I was extremely fortunate to stay for a week with Gabriella and Gilles at Au Coeur de Bordeaux. They were both the soul of grace, human warmth, and kindness. They were also very patient and so encouraging with my tentative attempts to communicate in French. Their incomparable hospitality and...

Very welcoming b&b on a quiet but central street in Bordeaux. Attractively decorated and a charming hostess. The only down side is the narrow winding stairway - but stay on the main floor if that is too difficult. Close to the fabulous restaurant Les Racines and to the musees.
