Excellent choice for a weekend stay in Bordeaux.. location was amazing , you could walk to the center of the city or take the tram , beside the River for magnificent walks or stroll to the Cite du vin The hotel is attached to a hospitality school with a wonderful team of young aspiring hoteliers to look after you during your stay . The rooms are wonderfully and thoughtfully designed with amenities that you would normally only find in a 5 star hotel . Breakfast is a little complicated due to Covid but was still very good . Definitely can recommend this property for a stay in beautiful Bordeaux.

I always love our stays at this hotel. The staff are friendly & helpful. The rooms are large, comfortable & spotless. The location of the hotel is great for us as we love that area of Bordeaux & it is only a few tram stops from city centre.

Just back from a three night stay in hotel Vatel. We were a party of 8 and all agreed that we could not fault it at all. All the young staff were friendly and enthusiastic and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are modern and comfortable with all the facilities you could require. Great location with a tram stop outside. Trams are frequent and run late. You can buy a ticket for 24 hours for €5. Highly recommend this hotel. If I even return to Bordeaux will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is just a few tram stops from the centre of the city so it is very conveniently situated. Tram tickets can be bought at the stop opposite the hotel and the line goes straight through the middle of town. The hotel is modern and staffed mainly by young trainees who are very pleasant and helpful - well done to the breakfast team and to Thelma, who cleaned our room each day. The hotel arranged a transfer to the airport at the end of our stay too, so very useful. The Cité du Vin is two tram stops away and the Bellas Artes museum is on the same line too. The Vatel is a very friendly place with good rooms. We had a superior room on the fourth floor. It had a great shower and quiet aircon. We shall definitely return!

I love every aspect of this hotel so much. It really should be a five star. Our beautiful, large, airy modern room is such a delight. Rainfall shower, robes and slippers in fab delux bathroom. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Tranquil hidden outside sitting area. Perfect location. If we lean out the window we can see the river where we rented bikes for a couple euro - you can ride, walk, or take a tram along the water to the old part of Bordeaux in no time. Treat yourself to this luxurious hotel.
