We spent four weeks in rural France staying in 2 star hotels. Of all the places we stayed this was the most disappointing. The best thing it has going for it is its picturesque location beside an old mill (now a restaurant) and its mill stream. Unfortunately we were there during a rainy period and for the three days we...

What an adorable place this is. Tucked beside a river, with a working mill wheel turning, this ivy-covered hotel is whimsical and fantasy-like. Quiet, peaceful... possibility of sitting outside in a precious garden next to the little river on comfy chairs, just watching the world go by. The room was adequate, bed okay, quiet. Parking was a bit tight, but...

We are only giving one star as we booked a room and dinner the day before for middle of August and very lucky they had 2 rooms left! Very excited to have one night away from the business of our summer. We arrived at 4.45pm and they told us they had made a mistake and given our room away! The...

I heard about this from a magazine article about small hotels in the Dordogne area and it was even better than we hoped. The setting next to the stream was unique and we enjoyed a glass of wine outside before dinner-and the dinner was incredible! It is a lottle tricky to find the road to the hotel but it is...

This is a beautiful hotel with a brook running next to, and under, it. The hotel is old, but has been modernized - with a lot of charm and character. The room and the hotel were above average compared to other lodging we experienced throughout France. The restaurant and breakfast areas were well-appointed and comfortable; the food and service quite...

We stayed for only one night and we loved every minute of it. The hotel is in beautiful surroundings, with a little stream and is idyllic and peaceful. Les Eyzies is a lovely town and is walkable from one end to the other. We stayed in a lovely clean twin room which was basic but had everything that we needed....

A hidden hotel in the heart of Les Eyzies set just next to a babbling brook. Our ground floor room with 2 twin beds was comfortable albeit having a damp feeling. The room did have a floor-to-ceiling window out of which was a porch and access to the parking area right in front of the hotel (parking is tight...good thing...

We booked at the last minutes and got a very good welcome. The restaurant was also booked at a moments notice. Small room maybe, simple decor maybe as it is only a 2 ** star rating. But very clean and with friendly, chatty staff. The restaurant serves classic french food, and as such was perfect technically. Will definitely go back.

We (father, two teenage kids) had a most memorable stay at Moulin de la Beune in beautiful Les Eyzies village: a charming hotel location almost under an old road archway that is part of the main village street, and tucked next to a lovely running stream with water wheel. The rustic ambience (with rose creepers and nice trees) was very...

Cozy charm in this secret spot in Les Eyzies De Tayac. Don't expect luxurious, spacious rooms. Instead, open yourself to French country charm. (It's all about the food and the dolce vita, baby!) no TV in the room bothered me at first but why let the outside world in? Instead, let the pleasant sound of the mill stream make you...
