Situated within ten minutes walk to the beach this bed and breakfast hotel is ideal to guest on short stays, it has its own private car park facility The hotel has a good reception desk with very helpful staff. There is a very good clean and bright breakfast room with all facilities you require and during the height of summer there is a garden with sun loungers should you prefer to spend an hour or two there. We spent three days and nights there and was very pleased with the hospitality.

This charming hotel is the perfect spot to discover Carnac and the surroundings. Sandrine is an attentive and caring host. The rooms are simple but pleasant and the breakfast is superb. We had a wonderful stay at La licorne!

My cousin and I spent four night in the Licorne and were warmly welcomed by Joel and Jannicke, the proprietors. The room was very comfortable with a lovely en suite bathroom. Breakfast provided a nice selection with breads, yogurt, ham and cheese, coffee and tea. It's on a main road in Carnac but never heard any traffic noise. I heartily recommend it. There's no elevator, but if you need help with carrying luggage upstairs, Joel is happy to oblige.

We had a room upstairs, no lift but owner was eager to help with our luggage. A clean and quiet room. Our son and wife and baby did not sleep well on the first night by reception but were upgrated to a large room with sea view. There was a heatwave but the breezes off the lake helped us survive without airconditioning. The staff and owners were very kind to us all. One of the staff was great fun and he was especially kind to our son and family. A small private car park was handy. The hotel is within easy walking to the town with several very good restaurants, handy for the Port also with many restaurants and the little train which takes you to the famous ancient standing stones. A small and welcoming hotel.

We were very surprised about this hotel. Lovely little hotel with friendly stuff. They came with us to our room to show us where exactly it is and gave us the needed explanation about our stay. Our room was little, but enough for one night. We had a very modern and new bathroom. We will stay maybe a second time in this hotel

The staff at Hotel la Licorne were very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. Our room was clean but fairly small. We did not pay a huge amount for the one night so this was expected. It was rather hot in the room as no air conditioning, so we kept our window open during the night, which meant dealing with the noise from outside and also inhaling the smoke from the other guests, who were having a sneaky cigarette out of their own room window. The biggest drawback however, was the paper-thin walls. We could literally hear the normal conversations people were having next door and their other goings on if you catch my drift. If noise is not an issue for you and you just need somewhere simple for the night, I would recommend. Lovely location of the lake at Carnac.

Excellent Location 5 mins walk from town centre, port, and nearest beach. Good to have a private car park in an area which must get difficult in the summer season. 'Free' room upgrade (perhaps everyone gets one of these!!) but room only OK, not spectacular. Good-ish continental breakfast.

We were able to check in early and shown to our room by a very nice man. The Hotel was very clean, close to everywhere we wanted to be in Carnac and the room was compact but lovely. Can't wait to come back there soon.

I stayed one night. I had booked the cheapest type if room but was a upgraded at the hotels suggestion at no extra charge. I was travelling by bike and had asked for a secure place to keep it overnight. They suggested a couple of places around the back of the hotel, which were out of sight of the road. The grounds are locked at 22:00. I secured my bike to an external metal spiral staircase. The upgraded room was fine, clean and modern. The beach resort is under 10 minute walk and the town is a fraction further. Breakfast was OK but not exceptional. I think you would be unlikely to be disappointed as it is a decent place to stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights in April with 3 friends for golf trip, 2 twin rooms. Nice clean twin room, new bright bathrooms. Patio doors out to small garden. 5 mins walk to beach/bars/restaurants. Lovely bakery across the road where we had breakfast so I can't comment on the €9 breakfast option offered, only to say that the breakfast room looked nice and spacious. TV in rooms and good WiFi. Parking on site. Staff present on site and helpful. Downsides were showers in the morning were cold, maybe due to all rooms using them at same time. Rooms were compact, fine if you are only using them to sleep, wash and change like we did. I wouldn't like to have to spend a rainy day in one. Would definitely return and recommend for the price
