It is all in the title really. The main negative is that our room (with terrasse overlooking the sea) was really quite small for the price; also the fridge was a bit of a joke, better at generating heat on the outside than cold inside. Another gripe is the extra charge for parking, which is really mean given that the room is quite expensive to start with. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was truly excellent (charged extra).

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Le Diana, the room with seaview was cosy and comfortable. Service friendly and good and the restaurant with the changing menus also top! Even though in Covid time, everything was very well arranged.
We were able to stay at the Diana for three days in July. The hotel has its own SPA (which we had to pay for because we booked via booking), a beautiful reception area and bar as well as a fine dining restaurant. The bar is big and has a wide variety of options in drinks, mocktails and ice creams. The room we stayed in was big, with a balcony and a wonderful interior design. Breakfast came with fresh crèpes, tasty bread, smoked salmon, eggs and fresh squeezed orange juice (order an espresso if you don’t like filter coffee). The staff is extremely friendly, especially one of the waitresses in the restaurant was charming and witty. However, there were some things that didn’t convince us. We didn’t really understand why we had to pay extra for the SPA (French is my mother tongue, so this wasn’t the issue). We arrived “early” at 3 p.m. and weren’t allowed to check in yet. Which is okay but you could give a voucher for the bar instead of offering a croissant (34 degrees asks more for a refreshing drink). The restaurant, the spa and the hotel are separate from each other, so you have to book with the right person (who isn’t always around). Some members of the SPA staff are not welcoming at all and try to sell the massages instead of explaining what the options are as a hotel guest. And the thing that bothered us most, was an issue during our last night. There was a large group of young people in front of the hotel having some kind of gathering. They were drunk and there was fighting. The police had to come and we witnessed six policemen trying to force a young man down. His girlfriend didn’t stop yelling. It took a long time until everything cleared up. This is obviously not the hotel’s fault. However, the next day everybody acted as if it didn’t happen. We were asked if we had slept well, but when we explained that it was a difficult night... the staff just asked whether there was an issue with the comfort of our room. It was an odd situation and we felt a bit misunderstood.…
Elegant hotel with parking (to have to pay extra), spa allows 45 mins/day free for all guests in the sauna/steamroom/hot tub. (Not sure how COVID-compliant that is really...) Otherwise, all other treatments are quite expensive but very good (I tried the gommage body treatment and husband had a massage). Restaurant also expensive but excellent and lovely view. Rooms elegant with lots of complementary NUXE toiletries. Lovely elegant bar area with board games. Electrical issues in our room. But main problem was atrocious WIFI - really couldn't connect to Microsoft teams meetings at all.
