Calm, discrete and professional establishment. Would go back again. Beautiful location with garden and hill view which is worth the short climb. Room on ground floor which was bigger than expected which is always a pleasure. Outside bar area is also appreciated as the weather was good.

This was our second hotel of our Bretagne trip (Aug-2022, Plouider & Carnac). Our first hotel in this tour was a 4 star one, Hotel Tumulus has 3 stars. So we knew we should lower our expectations a bit. In both hotels we reserved a standard room. What we liked: - Location of the hotel, at walking distance from the city center (with some shops and restaurants), with plenty of parking space - The overall friendly staff - The heated swimming pool - The Wifi - Breakfast and diner were according expectations (though the speed of serving at diner should be lowered, as we asked a few times) - Great view from the restaurant - The size of our room What we didn't like about our room - As a visitor you DON'T FEEL WELCOME when getting Room #3 (using CAPS is considered as shouting, I know that) - This room has a separate entrance, which is somewhat hidden and not radiating hospitality. - The door handle of the toilet room came loose (was fixed quickly after reporting it) - The toilet room has no hand washing facilities - The lighting in the bathroom wasn't functioning (2 spots working, one flickering and one defect, was more or less fixed quickly after reporting it) - The shower door has a gap of 5 cm at the bottom and looks filthy - When fixing the door handle and the bathroom lights, a safe was installed too, in the cupboard, while we were away. This means that a hotel employee had to move some of our personal belongings. This is a professional mistake you should never ever make again (and no, there was nothing spectacular in the cupboard) - You might say we have a view on the chapel, but only when opening the toilet room window - You might say we have a garden view, but then you'd have to ignore the view on the terraces of the neighbors - As we had reserved a standard room, we did not opt for asking another one (and we had chapel view and garden view, so what's there to complain?) Opportunities for the hotel: - Consider fixing the front door. It's there where your guests get the first impression. The door is hard to open and quite often gets stuck when opened. - Adding a pop-up bar near the swimming pool would add a lot of ambiance to the setting - At the tumulus side, some kind of terrace is offered but it isn't available a lot. Why not put a food truck there? Last notes: I know it have been difficult years for the tourist sector and good staff is hard to find. And I don't enjoy writing reviews with complaints. Please take my review as input to further improve (what a company should always want to).

I had no comments for the professionalism and helpful hotel staff. Bathroom and bedroom comfortable, clean and beautiful view. I could give 5 stars for the hotel. The restaurant gastronomie not really my taste, but it's correct and well presented. The dessert is too sweet and the vegetables not cooked well. But fish and fois gras perfect. The head server refuse to my request to sit near the window and some forget here and there. But overall it's alright since i can understand how busy they are. And two great coktails for my birthday is really nice gifts. I'm quite disapointed with the spa service. Since they refuse soin gommage with no explication. Waiting more than 10 minutes for her resolve problem in the phone. And pay 30 minutes feet massage tarif for only 20 minutes service. The quality of oil and massage also under average for hotel spa. And after exchange with some other clients, i'm quite surprise because they got question how you like the pressure and ect. With me no questions and really straight by telling not so much time. However the view is wonderful, very rural if you try to seek some rural beach area. Close to menhir and sunday traditional market.

... warm reception and room 53 in the seperate building was good and clean. Did not had breakfast, so no comments on this. An early morning walk in the surroundings is really worth it! You can walk in 15 mins down town.

Myself and my husband stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was clean and the room spacious and comfortable with lovely views of the tumulus and beautiful grounds. The staff were really helpful, especially Audrey, nothing was too much effort. Audrey rang every taxi company for us, but no one was available. She then drove us, in her own time, to a local restaurant and even offered to pick us back up at 10pm. She's a really gem! Thank you again 🙂. We would definitely recommend the hotel

It is good to stay at a hotel that has been in a family for some generations and is in an interesting location -- good views from the Tumulus and it was an easy walk into the town for the market in the morning. We stayed in a garden suite which is in a separate series of rooms next to the hotel. Pleasant (reasonably basic but clean) and the service was friendly and helpful. However, like another reviewer, we were there on a hot night and there was not only no airconditioning but no fan or anything similar either. We didn't want to sleep the night on the ground floor with our window open so it was really too hot. We would be happy to come back again, but perhaps at a different time of the year as we otherwise enjoyed it.

I stayed at this hotel recently for three nights. My room was basic , small and very overpriced. It was over the dining room and had an unpleasant odour, bare floor and bath towels that had seen better days. The staff on reception were friendly but the dining room staff at breakfast were less than helpful.
