Out meal was absolutely delicious! We have visited many countries by land and have done at least 10 cruises and this meal blew us away. Best of our 16 days in France. I had the menu bourguignonne and my wife had the menu Madeline and we had a nice bottle of white burgundy and the total was 86 euro. The...

We had been searching for a restaurant with good beef bourguignon and we found it in Beaune at L'Auberge Bourguignonne. As one of my goals in France was to sample as many of the local food specialties as I could, I also ordered ~ and enjoyed ~ a delcious jambon persille (cold ham layered in a garlic-parsely gelatin) as an...

Too expensive for food we could have cooked ourselves. Wine extortionate and poor by the glass. Visited here when we could not book anywhere else. Pleasant enough service. Cheeseboard was laughably small (we are not big eaters). Expected a beef bourg to remember: meat was dry, not tender and sauce lacked flavour (garlic or salt would even have helped!)

Small hotel, quaint, moderately priced (at least it was back then), not some big chain, friendly (yes, in France! Totally unlike those rude, ungrateful [who saved their hides in 2 World wars?!?!] jerks in Paris), we had a nice balcony room overlooking the town and lo and behold there was a little community parade, adorable little kids, marching for some...

The place is nice, so was the waitress. The hors d'oevre was delicious (foie gras). The main course took more then 1 hour before served and was very small (8 fries in a glass next to the meat). Went back to the hotel Hubert. Not a place to come back.

We had dinner at this auberge, which is not far from the centre of Beaune. We sat outside in a pleasant spot in a quiet square. We had a 36 euro menu which included three courses and cheese. We had the local speciality boeuf bourguignon and a ham dish for the main course and a vacherin for the dessert. The...

The food was good, but it's the old style of tiny meals on big plates. We left hungry and poor. The wine was stupidly expensive, a real cash grab, and again, an inch in a glass. While the waiters were polite, they were snooty and disinterested, particularly if your French was poor. No menues in other languages. That said, the...

Four of us shared a meal a few minutes walk from the center of Beaune. The food varied plate to plate in quality. The ingredients were fresh the presentation simple. The lobster with pasta was the star and they had a good selection of local cheese and moderately priced wines. Certainly there are better places in Beaune but this was...

The hotel is situated about 200 metres from the centre of Beaune with free car parking across the road in the square. The room was moderate size and very comfortable. The evening meal was dissappointing considering it has a 3 pot rating by Logis. The starter was a dissappointing slice of meat pie with a piece of lettuce. The main...

On a quiet balmy evening in Beaune we were recommended this restaurant. It turned out to be pleasant with a waitress speaking very good English and a older waiter not knowing much at all, however it didn't hold him back. The food was good without being great. With simple improvements it could have been great. A few of the dishes...
