this hotel was like stepping back in time. it was most likely upper class some time ago. its still very nice, but old fashioned. the room and bathroom where easily big enough for the both of us and luggage. the bathroom was very old and in need of renovation, but it was clean. the breakfast was so so. just bread...

This is an old-fashioned, family run town hotel, in a quiet street about five minutes from the main shopping area and about eight minutes from the Musee des Beaux Arts (a MUST see). No elevator, no air conditioning (we were there in September so this was not a problem), but a very nice 'feel' to the place. Room and en...

Nice property - good value. Friendly staff and walking distance to restaurants and shops in Dijon.

Although the rooms in this hotel were well-priced and impeccably clean, we found the entire hotel to be outdated and in need of a face-lift. We were there during a heat wave and of course (this is Europe!) there was no air-conditioning, but portable fans would have been a nice touch. As it was the room was so hot my...

I saw the previous reviews on tripadvisor and decided to give this place a try. We had an excellent stay, and would highly recommend this to other travelers to the area. It's a short walk to the heart of downtown (5-7minutes), and extremely reasonably priced. The rooms aren't amazing - small with only essentials (ie - the bathroom door didn't...

The small Hotel Victor Hugo is situated on a quiet street in Dijon. Fortunately, it was an easy walk from the train station to the hotel because you can wait forever for a taxi there. The rooms are small and very typical of an older French hotel. The bed was very comfortable though it has been awhile since I've been...

Ended up staying here twice in the same trip (thanks to the snow thwarting our plans to get further through France). On the way down from the UK we were so impressed that it was an obvious choice for a stopover on the way back. Friendly, attentive service (but not overly) and a well-turned out hotel, slightly out of centre...

We felt very at home here. Everything was very easy. Rooms were spot on - clean and spacious. Parking free beneath the hotel. If you need to back up behind the cars in there, you leave your key in case the other guest needs to get out (the hotel staff move your car) As we were a bit nervous about...

This place is a gem. Fabulous price with clean, cheery rooms, good service and a sweet French countryside atmosphere. No lift however (most rooms are on the second and third floors), so leave your heaviest suitcases at home. I would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed at Hotel Victor Hugo for one night in May 2009 due to positive reviews on tripadvisor. We were very pleased with the hotel. It was very reasonably priced, well located and spacious. However, Dijon is very small so location is not that important. The hotel is very old and not attractive at all - however for the money...
