My husband and I stayed at the Clos d'Amboise for three nights and couldn't say enough positive things about this charming hotel. The hotel is right on the edge of the old town, easy walking distance to everything. The property feels like you are in a country manor, with beautiful grounds, and lovely, meticulous rooms, with a large bathroom. The...

Stayed one night, booked a family room as we wanted a bigger room for the two of us. It was upstairs in the coach house and was big with a nice sitting area as well, had lovely old beams and was very clean, fantastically big bed, and very well presented. The staff on reception were excellent and really helpful.

Very lovely historic mansion, with swimming pool, restaurant, sauna facility, pricate parking, and very helpful staff. Some rooms in the annex builgings are somehow old fashioned, and some of them have windows only towards the parking entrance... The suite nr 20 is quite large but over-furbished, with a separate toilet, but a quite small bathroom and is located nearby the...

Thank you very much for taking time to write us a comment. The Suite Royale is quite large (40m²) with big windows on park side. Bathroom is separated to toilets with two washbasins and bathtub. A small living-room is available in the bedroom with two closet including mini-bar and safe. At the back a second bedroom is available to welcome...

We had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard in this mini Chateau. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Before we arrived we asked about transportation from the train station to the hotel. The staff made arrangements for a taxi to meet us, that never happened. Instead a staff member met us at the train station and drove us to...

This hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel in the old part of town that is within walking distance of other attractions and good restaurants. On the upper end of the price range but not unreasonable at all. It had a wonderful ambience and a nice dining room for breakfast that wasn't too pricey. I'd go here again, and I'd recommend...

We spent three nights at Hotel le Clos d'Amboise using the city as our base to visit several chateaus in the Loire valley. The hotel is actually a converted summer vacation home of a family that has been converted to a hotel. Parking is provided free, but the entrance to the parking area through the former stable gateway is extremely...

For any one wanting an experience in an village town with beautiful decor this is a lovely spot. While the a/c was too loud and the road a bit noisy the bedroom and bath were comforting. Breakfast was typical b&b fare.

Thanks for taking time to write us a comment. We are sorry for inconvenience about a/c. Entrance is narrow but we don't want to destroy this beautiful building. We hope to see you again and taste our restaurant "Amboise Café".

Great hotel close to the town with exceptionally helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and very comfortable air-conditioned room. Small hidden pool at the end of the garden was a real surprise. Would love to return.

Hotel Clos d'Amboise is an elegant old merchant's town house with extensive garden with old timber. The good rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean and well-appointed - if with a lethally slippy shower! Parking is the big bonus. And "Davide" on reception alert, helpful and conscientious. Breakfast in the garden magic: supper in doors less romantic, and a pedestrian...

Thank you very much for taking time to write us a comment. We are glad you enjoyed our different services. David and the whole team are happy to read your comment. Restaurant menu is composed of fresh and seasonal products, that's why we don't have a large choice (4 starters, 4 main courses, 4 desserts).

I stayed in the suite with my husband and loved every minute of it. The property and the hotel are breathtakingly beautiful. There is a pool and breakfast is good, albeit expensive.
