After a long drive up from Provence we were thrilled to arrive in good time to enjoy a shower in our lovely room before a Kir in the courtyard. A different room from our previous visit but the usual high standard of furnishing, bedding etc. Easy access Wifi. The staff are all delightful, efficient and friendly. The menu is not...

The hotel is right in the center of Azay-le-Rideau and there is good parking all around. We stayed two nights in a double room - Usse - which was very clean, spacious and with a nice atmosphere of old manor house meets modern boutique hotel. The bed was excellent and the bath had a good shower with high water pressure....

Loved this hotel, right on the market square, 200m from the chateau and an easy stroll from the riverside beach with a cafe bar and kayaking. I too love these unique and characterful hotels, we had two rooms, both were traditionally decorated with air conditioning, clean and well equipped. Owners and staff were charming and helpful. Parking at 4euro was...

Exactly the type of hotel I look for when managing a tour group. Rooms are uniquely individual. The hotel owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Even with outside temps in the 90s, the AC still does the job. There are no lifts in the hotel, but bags are carried to the rooms with great speed. Breakfast is plentiful...

The owners are charming and speak English very well - super large room in the 18th century coaching house. Meal and wine very good. Great stop. Good location to visit the various Chateaux of the Loire. Visit the Chateau away-Le-Rideau 5 mins away.

The Grand Monarque was a very nice hotel near the center of town within walking distance of nearly everything - restaurants, small shops, and the chateau. Staff was tops, helping lug our bags up the two flights of stairs to our room on the top floor (no lift in the hotel). Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet. Very...

We spent one night here as part of a bike tour. Our room was spacious and well equipped, including wifi. The breakfast was large and had great variety. Location was excellent - right in the middle of town and close to the Chateau. Staff were friendly. We would recommend this hotel.

Charming hotel in an old, well-kept building right in the town centre, with pleasant staff. The hostess at the reception is always smiling, and eager to help with anything from maps of the area to lending out a clothing iron and board. Free, public parking in a lot right next to the hotel. The hotel has a sunny garden, where...

The hotel has two buildings, the main building contains the check in and breakfast/dining room and the other building across the courtyard has several floor of rooms. I did not see evidence of a lift and both buildings are two stories, but the hotel staff carried our bags to the room without any prompting. We stayed for two nights in...

Stayed in this hotel for a week. Our rooms were up in the loft which I wasn't too sure about at first because I usually like a view and the windows were quite high up so had to stand on tip toes to see out. However it was a lovely clean room and quiet with a great shower room. The...
