My wife and I had dinner at the restaurant Auberge Ligérienne in the Côté Loire hôtel on July 2, 2015. I would have preferred to review this as a restaurant since we did not stay in the hôtel but in Hôtel de France and de Guise across the Blois Castle, a short walk from this auberge. The house dates back...

This is the oldest auberge in Blois, conveniently located near the Château. We stayed in the Madame de Sévigné room on the second floor, a spacious room capable of accommodating 3 or 4 adults or a family of 4, with a view of the river and a large bathroom with stall shower (no tub). An ample breakfast was offered in...

Not easy finding twin rooms in France (or in the UK sometimes). But this is lovely, the room "Madame de Sevigne" is very spacious with two lovely double beds just right for adult daughter and me. We stayed four nights. Room is on 1st floor so the window and its shutters open to a view of the Loire, above its...

Met friends from America here for a long weekend to visit the Loire. I travelled via Orly airport and after fraught, delayed, train journeys, received a warm welcome from Thierry and enjoyed a fantastic evening meal that wiped out all my frustrations. The Auberge is in a really convenient spot for getting in and out of Blois, with a restaurant...

My husband and I stayed in this auberge in November 2014. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We stayed in the largest room which is called Mme de Sévigné. It was a very spacious room with a very modern bathroom. We were very comfortable, especially when we learned how to close the shutters to shut out the light from the front...

This is the perfect small hotel for a visit to the Loire Valley. Thierry was extremely hospitable and helpful, the location is excellent, parking is convenient, and the little restaurant is excellent. In checking the rates at other places in Blois, we found Cote Loire to be very competitive, but the excellent restaurant was a total surprise. We had rooms...

We usually don 't post a TA review unless we have something super-nice or (rarely) something super-negative to say. But Cote Loire actually emailed us requesting that we submit a review, so here goes. We stayed 3 nights in a "Grande Chambre" that was dated (not charming, just dated), cramped and poorly laid out. It was on the first floor...

This cozy auberge has very hospitable staff, a fabulous restaurant, with easy walking all around the old city. Also it is centrally located in the Loire Valley for easy day trips to see the chateaux.. Parking is on the street in front of the hotel or in a public parking lot across the street - very convenient and free nights...

Stayed here for 3 nights, to visit Blois and the surrounding Chateaux. We were warmly welcomed and quickly shown to our rooms to freshen up which we badly needed since we had been on the road for close to 6 hours, driving over from Lyon. The rooms are rustic but comfortable. There is no elevator, so do be prepared to...

It really is the oldest hotel in town so don't expect a modern well scrubbed facility. There isn't a lift, no A/C or fridge, microwave or coffee in the room. The room was clean and quiet. It's about 1 block to the river and a little more to the town center, 20 minutes walking to the train station. There is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled back from the road that follows the bank of the Loire—a five minute walk to the Blois châteaux—the Côté Loire is hidden behind foliage of the tree that shades the square. Do not judge this hotel by its two star rating. It is an intimate, 7-room hotel that was just purchased by Thierry and Laurent. With their care and attention to detail, it will soon become one of Blois’ most charming small hotels. ... more   less
