This hotel has a series of strong points: a very convenient location, a charming old building, a wonderful restaurant scenery (a medieval chapel)... However, when we compare the service level to the price they charge, some improvement should be implemented. For example, they could help the guests with their luggage instead of letting them struggle with the bags, the doors,...

Stayed at this hotel for several nights. The hotel services are not at all satisfying , some exceptions. Bar service very unprofessional, at very high prices. Not very welcoming atmosphere overall and not at all service orientated staff in general. Once again some of the reception staff is kind and interested in the clients needs. Rooms very small and can...

We stayed here for one night on our way back to the UK from Carcassonne and found the hotel to be clean, well organised, and our room very comfortable. It was a little on the small side but that wasn't of major importance for our short stay. Parking isn't a problem as it is off street at the front of...

The Hotel de Bourbon is a superb hotel, one of the best we have ever stayed in. It is a converted abbey that looks wonderful inside and out. It is five minutes walk to the old town, which is delightful and definitely worth a visit; the cathedral especially is huge for such a relatively small town. The service in the...

We stayed here for one night on our journey to Spain. The hotel is easy to find with plenty of free parking. It's a very clean, well appointed hotel with a nice reception area & lovely gardens. The rooms are of a good standard & size & the beds very comfortable. The reception staff were pleasant & efficient. The hotel...

We just returned from a 13 day tour of Paris and Central France. We stayed in 7 different hotels and The Grand Hotel Bourges Hotel de Bourbon was by far the best. The rooms were large, well decorated and included many amenities not found in other hotels throughout France. The beds, pillows and linens were extremely comfortable. Included with our...

We stayed here recently whilst driving down to the Dordogne, and what we saw we were very impressed by. I felt that it didn't feel like a chain hotel at all - and was certainly better than other Mercure hotels we had also stayed in. The hotel is an attractive building, with welcoming staff and plenty of parking. Worth noting...

I recently spent 6 nights here. This is a very attractive chain (Mercure) hotel. It is pleasantly situated on the edge of the center of town and not too far from the train station. The rooms are adequate in size and well furnished with nice fabrics. The bathroom was good with a glass partion on the side of the tub....
