My first impression was good but rapidly deteriorated. The friendly and helpful receptionist on when I arrived was the only good part of my experience here. Noisy, expensive room and a terrible dinner. Avoid.

We booked last minute, so options were few, unfortunately this hotel (more of a hostel) did not live up to 3 stars or it's price tag. The room was shabby and noisy with no air con or fridge. On a very hot night we needed to open the window, which meant there was excessive noise as the hotel overlooks the... More

Nice to hotel in Chinon, very close to the center, and to a huge free parking lot, although may be more difficult on Thursdays, the market day. Rooms a little small for two, no air conditioning just a fan but good radiators for cold days. Did not had breakfast.

Very old rooms. There is no air conditioner. Only 2 electric power outlets in the room, 1 for the TV and 1 for the old fan (actually antique fan). Very old bed and bathrom. Breakfast and the restaurant are OK. There is no coffee or tea in the room. Very small TV (like a desktop PC monitor). The lady at the... More

Good staff and location. Room needs urgent refurbishment. Shame as everything else was very good and slept well. Town very pretty with great places to eat and visit. Parking in square opposite which may be a problem on market day.

Parking is very easy in public spaces opposite hotel. Room was fairly comfortable but the showering facilities were a disaster. The shower controls were so stiff you'd have needed a pair of pliers to open and shut them if you didn't posess an Herculean grip!

Clean tidy, good breakfast, it severed our purpose for an overnight stop. Would defo stay again but be aware no aircon. Get what you pay for i... More

Friendly welcome despite being well past our advised arrival time, nice room, and then an excellent meal in the bar / bistro / restaurant. Location is easily accessible, large car parking area, river and village all easy to get to. The only flaw was the bathroom which smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke all thru our stay which the fan... More

We were three friends sharing a room for two nights. The room had three single beds. The standard of the room was ok, the bathroom could use an upgrade to more modern. A nice location and a spacious free public parking place right by. The breakfast costs 9,5€ and was ok. The staff was friendly and polite. Location was a... More

The great thing about this hotel is its location. We had a room at the back which was adequate. I am not sure who designed their rooms but they must be colour blind! But you can walk into town and the market was right outside the door in the morning. The staff were curteous and helpful. We walked into the... More
