Whilst this place looks cute and has lots of History , it is more directed as an educational visit for maybe families with younger children. It isn't easily accessible for older people or those in wheelchairs due to there being lots of winding narrow staircases to look at very small rooms. Saying this my children aged 21 and 18 did...

We drove from London to Chinon, arrived at 7.30pm to be greeted by the Madame with the words 'non, non, non'. Despite the agency to which the hotel belongs (Chateaux et Hotels en France) confirming over the phone that pets were allowed, this being reconfirmed in their brochure and in their email confirmation of the booking where it was made...

My fiance and I stayed at Chateau de Danzay for 2 nights whilst touring the Loire Valley. The chateau itself was to be honest a disappointment. It was in a rather delapidated state and the rooms themselves where in no way a reflection of the supposed 4-star rating it has. For example our bathroom was so poorly decorated that the...
