After a 24 hours trip from Melbourne, to arrive at this hotel and be greeted by 3 smiling faces was a delight. It was even better when they offered us a glass of champagne whilst we relaxed and checked in. We were shown to our rooms and were amazed by the view from our balcony. This was after I managed...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in June, and used it as a base to explore the Epernay area during our driving holiday of the Champagne area. We wished we had stayed a day longer. We were duly impressed even before we got out of the car. The hotel and restaurant are expensive, however they should be!...

Stayed for one night on the Thursday before Easter, so the hotel was quite quiet. We booked a half-board package which included a 4-course dinner and champagne breakfast. We received a warm welcome with complimentary champagne and our room was upgraded, which was beautifully decorated with a lovely view over the vineyards. Dinner was superb with friendly and attentive service...

We were very disappointed by Royal Champagne and are unable to recommend it to anyone. We were staying in one of the rooms overlooking the valley which was lovely. It was spacious with a generous sized bed and a large shower and bath. Sadly the room was the only good part of our stay. We felt that breakfast was very...

Perched on a hillside in the minuscule village of Champillon, an hour and a half's drive from Paris, the Royal Champagne, with a spectacular view of the vineyards and the valley, was once a favorite halt for Napoleon and his entourage.Absorb the fascination for the medieval in the rich furnishings, ornamental woodwork, antique candlesticks and carved tables. The designers have imbued...

For travelers who want to experience the quintessential French "art de vivre" this is perhaps the place to be. It boasts a cozy atmosphere with individually decorated hotel rooms. Its lobby and restaurant are decorated with fabulous tapisteries of Arabesque motif. You are nestled right at the middle of the French gentry life. Staff at the hotel were very friendly,...

We stayed at the Royal Champagne during a short stopover. The room was large with all necessary luxury amenities. Very large bathroom wich was up to date with beautiful walkin shower. We also enjoyed a menu at the restaurant which was nice but not wow, price/quality ok. The chef needs to experience other cuisines from collegues. Defintely work to do....

We had booked our stay for September by e-mail correspondence during March 2011. We had made it known that this was a special 20th Anniversary stay. Our previous four day stay in 2007 had been perfect. We therefore had great expectations. Sadly we were disappointed. On arrival we were offered champagne in very small glasses unlike our previous stay. Despite...

It was our last night stopover having toured Europe for two months so needed to break the journey to the Chunnel and go out with a "splash ".I have booked Relais Hotels before using their book and usually expect to get a close representation of the essentials ,such as the room !. It purports to be a coaching inn/hotel with...

We loved everything about this small hotel. The warm friendly staff nothing was too much trouble, thank you Odile and Annelies! The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious with huge beds and gorgeous travertine bathrooms. The views are spectacular. Walk through the vines to the nearby villages which are quaint and very special. Ask reception to book you a tour...
