When you are happy or able to pay 320e a night for a hotel and perhaps even be tempted by a 110e per person set menu dinner (without wine), then you might be expecting the very best in accommodation and hospitality. Bear in mind this is for the bottom end for room and food, then get ready to dig deep....

We booked this hotel at a cost of E320 a night, assuming that it would be top notch. The rooms had a nice view but there were a number of problems: - The internet was disastrous and did not work at all. The hotel did not bother to warn us and hours were wasted trying to get online. There was...

We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel as part of a tour. The main building of the hotel is formal and stately, used mostly for breakfast and dinner. The rooms are detached, just a few steps away. Our room was very large, very well appointed and offered a wonderful view of the vineyards and epernay in the distance. The...

The Royal Champagne Hotel is a delight but, if my experience was anything to go by, keep your fingers crossed the restaurant is not busy. The setting is a joy, over looking Epernay and the rolling vineyards of Champagne, and I could not fault the welcome being greeted by the delightful hotel manager and given a welcoming glass of the...

We enjoyed a very special stay at Royal Champagne for my birthday last year. Admittedly we stayed and dined as part of a private tour of the Champagne region, thus we received an excellent level of service. The hotel rooms are lovely and offer stunning views over the vineyards below. Dinner was magnificent - a full degustation with champagne. Sadly,...

very good location when exploring the Champagne region. Very warm welcome, large room and bathroom. Excellent view over the vineyard from bed room and dinning room. Very comfortable salon and Dinning room. Professional service and excellent dinner. Wine list and wine package reasonably priced. Excellent Champagne breakfast. Will recommend it to any serious Champagne and food lovers. This was my...

I've stayed in some of the best hotels in Europe and so I suppose my standards are high, but I've rarely been so disappointed with my stay in an hotel. When I'm in this part of the world I usually stay at the Chateau Les Crayeres in Reims (excellent) but it was full so I chose this hotel which is...

Coming from the charming and relatively good value Chateau de Courcelles (see review) this hotel was a disappointment. The accommodation price was about the same, (420 euro for a deluxe terrace) and it is also part of the Relais & Chateaux group, but the 1970s style rooms had a very "made over" feel about them, with every piece of decor,...

The guest rooms of this hotel enjoy wonderful views of the Champagne vineyards. Its restaurant offers an all-champagne dinner, and a bottle of champagne is a part of the breakfast buffet. The service is extremely friendly and well organized. At all times, the personnel seem to be ready to go out of their way to please. Overall, it would be...
