Although perfectly located in the heart of charming Fontainebleau, the hotel's appeal stops there. Outdated, dark and dreary rooms, and malfunctioning bathrooms were highlights of the stay. There's no valet available with the closest parking in a public underground lot a good distance away - extremely inconvenient if carrying many bags or in my case, arriving and departing in high... Great classic building right at the center of fontainebleau, right by the chateau, but inside hopelessly outdated and outmoded in terms of comforts and amenities, really needs a thorough make-over soon ... shame !

I loved this hotel. First of all, it's right across from the Chateau de Fontainbleau (be sure to see that!) and the hotel itself is so historic! Staying here is like stepping into the past - but in a good way. The place is beautiful with good attention to detail. The room was floor to ceiling French style wall paper... More

Well maintained old hotel with different rooms size that give you the look of interior design of the chateau. The rooms are of different wall colors and moderate old design furniture. The wifi signal at my room was very low and the breakfast was fair. The location is the only thing i give 5 stars.

Fontainbleau --This hotel is conveniently located opposite entrqance to chateau fontainbleau. The bedroom is really spacious & wallpapered. The interior is in an elegant classic design . Good internet access. The breakfast seems to be a sumptous spread. The lobby has the softest & most comfortable upholstered sofas. Helpful staff Good recommendation for dinner-- try the good food at nearby... More

We booked online due to review and close proximity to Fontainebleau. What a great place. Unfortunately upon check in our room had a problem, so the manager gave us two rooms for the original booking price of a shared room. The parking is steps away and the hotel pays for it. They suggested one of the three restaurants just next... More

What luxury: a spa bathtub big enough for two with a TV that gets CNN. Robes. Extremely comfortable bed. Huge breakfast buffet with selections for every national taste: American, British, French, Chinese, Indian. Reasonably priced (at least in October).

This is a wonderful hotel that makes you feel like you are coming home on every return visit. The rooms vary from small but nice to large, amazing suites. Breakfast is excellent and the hotel's overall service is always outstanding . There are several nice restaurants within 100 yards. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely property set in the heart of Fontainebleau, arrived to a friendly smiling receptionist all a plus in my book. I was kindly upgraded which was a great surprise and a plus for my birthday treat! The room was absolutely stunning, the decor just amazing everywhere. It's very rare to find a hotel where the other occupants staying there can't... More
