Stayed in mid-May with my boyfriend for three nights. Room was smallish, but fine for us and it's to be expected in Paris. Especially enjoyed the proximity to various metro stations, funky restaurants catering to many locals and the attentive service. One day we woke up a bit late and came down for breakfast just as they were closing up...

An affordable and clean room is really all that we were looking for, and this hotel fits that description! Originally, we were booked to stay at the Hotel Corona Opera, which is just right across the street. It was a good hotel with a friendly staff, but the price was way too expensive: 189 euros including breakfast a night. We...

Stayed 3 days / 2 nights at this hotel back in October 2007. It's a nice 2 stars, nothing really fancy about this, but very well located (Grands Boulevards) in a very quiet place. The street it's located on is very small and only taken by people who live there, and there aren't much as there are 5 hotels in...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

“My first room was on the fifth floor and was hot (no AC), but acceptable. The second room on the third floor was better. The windows face to the street so you might hear voices from the coffee shop/bar but it did not disturb much, even with open windows.”
