Access reserved to military officers only. Lovely place to stay in Paris, staff was attentive and friendly, room and public areas clean and tidy. I've tried the restaurant and the food was great as well.

This is the officers' mess in Paris and is available to Allied military officers on orders and for personal travel. Recently renovated it is expensive, though competitively priced for downtown Paris. The location is superb, with upper floor rooms on the front of the building offering views of the Eiffel Tower and the Eglise Saint Augustin. It is very close... More

We stayed in a 5th Floor suite looking straight out to the Eiffel Tower. Renovated room was SUPERB and price ~$250 made it a bargain for Paris. Clean, plenty of hot water, quiet. Great bistro's on Circle and nearby metro stop runs straight to Champs D'Elysees. Staff was helpful.

This was my fifth stay and first since the renovations that took place in 2013. I was not disappointed. The bath as well as the room was a nice surprise. The bath has been improved with the addition of an excellent shower, new tile, and new flooring. All other areas of the hotel remain the same as before with the same... More

Stayed on the 4th floor facing the church and E.tower. Can get noisy with the cars and motor bikes .Don't stay in you room. This is Paris. Parks, museums, people watching. etc... Don't need a car. Metro or bicycle will get you there. Don't expect a lot from room service. They will try but some times only average. Do not... More

Two rooms with nice beds, air conditioning (Summer 2015 heat wave), great towels, superb breakfast, good WiFi, and an unbelievable view of the Eiffel Tower from the front rooms. Don't miss a meal at the Cafe St. Augustin around the corner if you go. The Paris Metro stop is just a few minutes away. Access to Gare du Nord and... More

We stayed at the St Augustin and had a great stay. The hotel has been renovated since we were there in 1999. The hotel staff was helpful and very nice. The hotel was however not cheap at over 220€ a night. Location is close to the Metro but would likely stay at another place cheaper and close to a Metro... More

Stayed here on family vacation (7 people including kids and grandparents) and could not imagine a better location for visiting Paris. We had 2 suites which were quite large and had sitting area, which is rare for European accommodation. We were able to walk to Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre and most other attractions. Metro was just around... More

Limited pretty much to military officers of all countries...check their policy before you go..but in a perfect location, very nice rooms (a lot of them recently remodeled), three different restaurants at all price levels and an excellent bar. Very close to a Metro and an easy walk to Galleries Lafayette, Pritemps, Gare St. Lazare, etc.

The Cercle is a private military officers club of sorts, which also is available to members of reciprocal military clubs. One makes a reservation following presentation of a letter of introduction and shows one's military ID (active or retired) at check in. The rooms have been completely redone in the past year and are haut-moderne and large by European standards,... More
