Me and a friend have booked two rooms at Luxelthe for a stay of 3 nights. On check in the receptionist did not want to check either one of our passports, credit card details or booking confirmation. Which is a big lack of security for me. WiFi did not work during our whole stay and it seemed that nobody cared...

We stayed 9 nights in Luxelthe Hotel, picked because of it's central position in Montmartre and close to the underground station Pigalle. Location wise, the hotel did indeed live up to the expectations raised by their advertising. However, our enthousiasm was quickly drowned when we entered the hotel room. The room itself was quite OK, but the bathroom was a...

Stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights- and we found it pretty nice at Luxelthe. The hotel is located steps away from Pigalle station, which is on two lines, and the Paris metro system is convenient enough for that to be sufficient. In terms of walking, we ended up walking to the Jardin de Tuileries from the hotel, which...

We were a couple staying 2 nights in this hotel. The older man at the front desk said he did not speak any english and would not help us when we needed advice on directions to get to places. The hotel room sare clean enough but not modern in any way. wifi did not work at all. The hotel is...

It is not easy to find inexpensive and centrally-located hotels in Paris, especially when booking late. We decided to spend 2 days in Paris when on a stopover, and upon searching decided to book this hotel as this is one of the few hotels which fits my budget, is located in Central Paris and has a 24 hour front desk...

This hotel is a little scarying at the first moment. The hotel's lobby should be rebuilded to give a better impression. Also it misses a elevator which is important to facilitate the access to persons with any limited locomotion and carrying big bags. The room and bathroom are ok. The bests are the location and staff, which are very nice!

I look for value when I choose a hotel and I do use the advice of other trip advisor contributors. I booked this hotel through booking.com and I requested a first floor room facing the courtyard because of the comments made about no elevator and street noise. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a personal note from the hotel manager...

Incredible location. Come out of Pigalle Metro station and head directly up the hill to your right. A couple of minutes' walk and you're there. Friendly english-speaking reception staff. A vending machine in the foyer is very handy. To get the Open Top bus go down to the bottom of the road, by Pigalle, and walk for 5 minutes to...

We loved this hotel! It was a great price, in a great location which made the rest of Paris easily accessible. Clean rooms, and we had a lovely little balcony to sit on too looking out onto a quaint little street. As many have said before the stairs are steep so not good if less mobile, but as we are...

I booked this hotel back in January 2015 and while booking I had trouble including an additional person as a child. I travelled with my 8 year old daughter and we wanted to share a bed which hasn't been a problem at all other places we have been to. I sent an email to Luxelthe stating that I would be...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
