Having breakfast on the terrace, completely enclosed in glass, and looking out at the lush garden and water fountain, you feel transported to another age. Such quiet elegance, and with excellent service. We've been coming to the Hotel de l'Abbaye for decades now, and I appreciate it more every time I come. A treasure.

My fiancé and I spent a considerable amount of time researching a place to stay on our first trip to Paris for five nights starting 12/27/16. We decided on this hotel and booked it six months in advance. The hotel exceeded our expectations. A SUPER location walk to tons of great restaurants and bars and shopping, a 20 minute walk...

As a preface, my wife and I have been visiting Paris since 1978, and we lived in this marvelous city for almost a year in 1983. It is one of our three favorite cities in the world. Hemingway was spot-on; Paris is indeed “a moveable feast”. Since we don't really enjoy large hotels, during our last few visits we’ve sought...

The best Left Bank hotel I have ever stayed in. Warm, competent staff; lovely rooms kept to a high standard; ideal location, convenient but quiet. Generous breakfasts and sitting rooms in a charming setting. I plan on returning as often as I can.

A very nice boutique hotel on a quiet street in St Germain, a great central location from which to explore all of Paris. Cozy probably best describes it. The rooms are not that large but are comfortable. The staff and service are very good, though inexplicably one day my room was not serviced after being out all day, though it...

My wife and I enjoyed yet another fabulous and unforgettable visit to this special hotel. We have been coming regularly for 29 years, and as one who travels internationally on a frequent basis I must say Hotel de l'Abbaye St. Germaine ranks among the world's greatest boutique hotels. There is no request that the staff will not accomplish--and do it...

this is a lovely place to stay. Not cheap, but worth it for a treat if you like feeling a little spoilt. The rooms are pretty and bigger than the usual Parisian scale, with very lovely public rooms. A generous continental breakfast is included, and you can have it in the charming glassed ib conservatory looking out onto the tiny...

We visit Paris at least once a year. We have been searching for the perfect boutique hotel in Saint-Germain and this is it. Walking distance to everything, beautiful rooms and coffee delivered to the room every morning. We has a few issues with the concierge and there was not great communication on the Hotel's behalf until the manager Lionel stepped...

If you are looking for a lovely hotel tucked back on a quiet street with a little courtyard in front and a garden in the back look no further. L'abbaye is a little gem centrally located approximately a 20 minute walk to the Louvre, d'Orsay, Nore Dame, Luxumbourg gardens etc. Everyone who works at the hotel is lovely and very...

My wife and I just had our second amazing stay at Hotel de l'Abbaye. After loving it three years ago, we were delighted to experience the same magic as before -- beautiful spaces, quiet yet convenient location, outstanding service and excellent rooms. Can not recommend this hotel highly enough!

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
