This was a perfect stay--from the amazing attendant who we met on the first day and took care of breakfast (which was continental superb) and luggage, to the super helpful staff at the desk and to a room which was very comfortable (clean is expected) and inviting. The NY Times was a bonus--the internet for us a must!

Booked this pace at the last minute mainly because I knew it was close to Notre Dame. Very nice hotel on one of the islands in the Seine and about a 5 minute walk to the cathedral. Staff were very pleasant and gave directions as well as organising a taxi to the airport. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet and...

We recently returned from a business trip to Paris and stayed at this lovely hotel. I have been to Paris many times but had never stayed on Isle Saint Louis. I found this charming family owned hotel, Hotel Des Deux Isles and was absolutely delighted. The service and the employees were very friendly and attentive to our every need. The...

The location is perfect, the style/decor of the hotel suited my taste (simple, calm colours, white bed linen etc), it was spotlessly clean, quiet (we overlooked the internal courtyard at the back of the building) and the staff are charming and helpful. I booked a twin room as I was travelling with a friend, however we were given a small...

My husband and I just spent 14 glorious days in Paris over Christmas and New Year's. Staying at Hotel des Deux Iles was the icing on the cake. We had stayed there 20 years ago and was pleased that it was great as we remembered. The hotel is very clean, housekeeping came every day. The room was on the small...

Hotel des Deux Iles is a charming hotel located on a quaint street among tiny shops and wonderful little places for dinner or a drink. The staff was very helpful with suggestions on sites to walk to and arrangements on how to get to the airport. They were all our personal concierges! The location was a block down the street...

We had rooms overlooking the street which we liked and it was very quiet. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom clean and attractive. The staff all speak English and are very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was included in our deal which wasn't a huge buffet but we had plenty to eat and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious....

A great location - lovely island in the centre of Paris with loads of nice places to eat and drink nearby. The hotel itself was charming and clean and the room nice, but if there'd been more than one of me in it I think we'd have had some fun :-) not a lot of wriggle room. Still, decent wifi,...

Nice little hotel in an ancient building, on a quiet street in the perfect central location for getting anywhere in Paris. The staff were very helpful and nice and the room spotless. Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
