The Hotel is set back from the road through large open wooden gates. It has the charm of a real Parisian hotel unlike some where you could be anywhere in the world. Our room was clean comfortable and very charming, the silk lined walls were beautiful. Although small and querky it had everything we needed and the staff could not...

Quiet hotel without street noise in a nice part of town when visiting. Cafes and resturants close by and walking distance to the sites such as the Louvre. Rooms are small like everything in Paris but works well and standard is fully acceptable. Very friendly staff and good breakfast in their tiny breakfast area. We stayed with 4 kids in...

Dear Abberre, Thank you very much for taking time to write a comment about Hotel Des Marronniers. Feedback is important for us but for travelers too. Our rooms have a "Parisian" size and we tried to make it as nice and comfortable we could to make you forget it. We were pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with...

I've stayed in Paris several times now and two of the three times I felt like I was in a toy size room. Granted I'm vertically challenged myself and you'd think I don't need much space but being American has the "bigger is better" ideology ingrained into my existence. Rooms in Paris are generally small, and the small is average...

Dear Travellers, if you don;t want to find last century shabby towels, smelly rooms don't ever go there! The rooms are dark, unlike on the hotel's photos. So, maybe in some rooms they have done rennovations, but there sewage pipes are as old as Paris! Had a very unpleasant accident with the w/c. Had to run away after the 1st...

I know the 6th well and have stayed in several similar hotels over many years. It's a charming area of Paris, full of vivacity and people walking around since many of the streets are closed to cars some of the day. European friends recommended this hotel, where I have often had breakfast or coffee, so when my girlfriend and I...

Dear KirkpatrickMacDonald, We thank you very much for taking time to write a comment about Hotel Des Marronniers. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Des Marronniers is a charming hotel tucked in a small courtyard. Our 3 star hotel has kept the intimacy and authenticity of Saint-Germain Des Pres. In the heart of a lively area, peace and tranquility can be found in the rooms overlooking the courtyard or the garden. Because the jewel of this hotel is undoubtedly the garden. In summer, breakfast can be enjoyed in the shade of chestnut trees. Otherwise, breakfast is served between 7:30 am and 11:00 am in the veranda, in the vaulted cellar or in your room. A tea room is available for guests of hotels and passers-by in the veranda, in the garden or beautiful vaulted cellar of the Hotel Des Marronniers. The property is ideally located in the center of the capital. The Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral or the Luxembourg Gardens are just a few minutes walk. It is the same for the famous Café de Flore and Deux Magots. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi access and a flat-screen TV.
