I chose this hotel based on photos and reviews on Trip Advisor, and I was pleased with my choice. They were very nice on the day of my arrival and let me check in a bit early since my room was ready. I had a sweet little room on the 5th floor. The lift was small (normal, by small European... More

Wouldn't change a thing about this place! From the cool key, petit dejeuner, friendly staff, perfect location to the rooms with enough room for us Americans. Before arriving to our split level family room (#2), I warned my kids that European rooms are small and the showers are RV tiny. But this wasn't the case at all-we each had our... More

My stay at this hotel during the week of Paris Photo in November was my second and my earlier visit was before the extensive renovations that have been done to the interior, renovations that beautifully brightened and updated the rooms without changing its gracious ambience. What sets this hotel apart, aside from the homey charm of feeling as if you're... More

From the initial step into reception was appealing. Booking in was efficient. The room was clean, bed comfortable, decor appealing with the touch of a timber, free standing, French style wardrobe. It's a bonus having access a stocked mini-bar - which my room did. I could open the window to the room to let in fresh air. Bathroom was small... More

This was my second visit to the Hotel Saint Paul, but the first since they were rightfully awarded four-star status. Everything - the rooms, the wonderful hot showers, the breakfast, the perfect location, and most especially the front desk staff - are rated four star! Everything is made easy for you, including discovering on my last day to mail my... More

I booked this hotel on line for a good price based on reviews found in Trip Advisor. The hotel is in a beautiful little neighborhood in the heart of Saint German and the Latin quarter. Very close to Saint Michael square, Notre Dame and with a little extra walk you can get to the Louvre and other attractions. There are... More

I adore the Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche! My friend and I stayed for four nights and it was a wonderful experience. It is such a cozy boutique hotel with approximately 30 rooms. The decor is great, with quirks that add charm. The room size is excellent. We purchased the rate that includes breakfast, and it was great. The room... More

I stayed seven nights at this hotel during my stay in Paris. The hotel was located perfectly close to all the main tourist locations and was easy walking distance to the bus or metro stations. It's located on a quieter street which I certainly preferred than one with constant traffic and noise. There are several excellent restaurants within one block... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights in late August. The rooms are quite small but beautifully decorated. I love this hotel. The staff are friendly and so helpful. The atmosphere is such that it's very hard to leave. We stayed a couple of years ago and are wanting so much to return. The breakfast is incredible served in the stone cellar. An amazing place close to every thing. Totally in love with this place

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche belongs to a Franco-British family, hoteliers for 4 generations, who have made the hotel a marriage of French elegance and English comfort. Situated on the line of Paris' former outer wall under Philippe Auguste, this 17th century building was once the home of Franciscan monks. The 31 bedrooms are colourful and range in style from the modern - vibrant flowered fabrics - to the traditional - exposed beams and elegant opaque curtains. There are beamed ceilings, faux ostrich bed-heads, clever corner armoires, even two baldaquin beds beneath the high ceilings of the lower floors. Entirely renovated in 2015, this boutique-hotel is close to everything, in the heart of the action, but in a quiet little street. The Luxembourg gardens vicinity and the so many walking distance sites like the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Pantheon, Cluny museum and the Louvre, make the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche a convenient pied-à-terre for enjoying the city. ... more   less
