Bed comfortable, staff nice, location is excellent. Tasty breakfast, but 10 euro is too much. Dirty walls and carpets on the corridor, room and bathroom not refreshed for a long time. Leaky shower in the bathroom with mold in the corners, The heater in the bathroom did not work, the old air-conditioning that did not work as it should. Non-smoking...

Room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom is very small but functional. Rooms are 2 persons room which is a problem when traveling with family of 3. We had to book two rooms. There are no rooms with connecting doors. The Bastille area is not very close to the main attractions in Paris but there are subway stations and bus stops...

A comfortable friendly hotel in the heart of Paris. I benefitted from a very reasonable rate and the hotel worked very well for my purposes. I could easily get metro or bus into St Germain for shopping

A perfectly located budget hotel. Perfect for a night or two, but don't expect anything high end. Bed is comfortable, staff is nice. Corridors are a bit awful but room is modern and decent. Location is excellent.

One would reserve an IBIS just for one reason: it works, maybe with a couple of minor inefficiencies [such a the magnetic card-keys that won't always open your door properly]. For the lone traveler it is just fine, specially for the location. I could take the Velib' just across the street and be on my way to 'Île de la...

The hotel is closed to several metro stations all with different lines. The area is nice offering many different dining options. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a bit too small for the rest all good.

We asked for a quiet room away from the lift. We were allocated a room far away from the lift, but right next to a noisy central heating chimney, with a constant roar (room 744). We were then offered 342 which was almost as bad. The third room was fine. The staff need to know the hotel better. We pre-booked...

The location is good -- but of all the Accor hotels where I have stayed (most recenty: Dubai and Pune), this is the worst one. Their staff (both reception and breakfast/catering) need to be seriously trained to the Accor standards of customer service -- unless of course guests are after "the famous Parisian rudeness of staff" -- in which case...

Our office booked this hotel and it suited to our needs as were 57 people who needed a place to stay in Paris. The lobby was big and the breakfast was ok. Staff were helpful in getting us a taxi. It is my first time to experience an Ibis hotel and it was just as I expected. Basic and clean....

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighbourhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighbourhood.
