We stayed at Mercure Montmatre in May 2012. I loved the newly renovated rooms with the red colours. They really look like the pictures posted by some other guests. Our room was spacy, the bathroom was very nice and brand new. We booked breakfast, but ended up in the group breakfast room (for package deals - bus groups etc). I...

This is good hotel with reasonable price. I stay there for a weekend and was quite happy. The location is great, the area has lots of restaurants and places to go out. Very good connection to the underground... Would recommend to everybody.

The hotel should really be called Mercure Place Clichy because that is where it is. It is typical of town centre location Mercure hotels. For traveling around Paris it is reasonably well located. We chose to pay for a room upgrade and have a view over Paris. The room was attractive and spotlessly clean but the view was disappointing

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for posting your comment on TripAdvisor. Indeed the Mercure Paris Montmartre is located between Place de Clichy and Montmartre. From our hotel you can reach the Sacre Coeur by 15-20 minutes walking, and the Place de Clichy metro's station is at 3 minutes walking. We would like to thank you for posting a photo...

We were given upgraded rooms as they were in the process of refurbishing the standard room ... we were given a room with a view that included the eiffel tower . The rooms are large...

We booked in advance so we were happy with the reasonable price compared to our last visit to Paris in a more upmarket hotel on Left Bank. We arrived by train from London so a handy location. The lobby is a bit dated but that's fine with us...more important that the staff are welcoming and the room clean & comfortable...

Paris is one of those cities where finding a "decent" hotel at a reasonable price is always an issue. It's a very exciting city and, unless you have special reasons, you expect not to spend too much time in your room. You might then think that it is not worth paying over 300 euro on a room you will barely...

When looking for a room in Paris for a long weekend in April, I was shocked at how expensive the rooms are in the city in relation to their location. When I came across the chain hotel in the vicinity of Montmartre, I was a little unsure. Personally, I do not like chain hotels. But this hotel was brilliant. We...

Booked this hotel for his location , room are nice and trendy , big enough for my big suitcase , usually paris hotel rooms are small. Staff on arrival was very nice (sorry I forgot his name). The parking lot next to it make it convenient and many restaurants around the place.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
