We booked here as it was the nearest hotel within walking distance of the Moulin Rouge.(5 minutes away) The reception staff were all friendly and efficient, A fast lift took us to our room, 837, on the 8th floor. It was large and looked out over the chimney pots of Paris with the Eiffel tower in the distance. The bed...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review in regards to your recent stay at Mercure Paris Montmartre. I would like to thank you for mentioning our great location in Paris. Indeed, our rooms on high floors have a view over the chimney pots of Paris, and sometimes over the Eiffel Tower and the Sacre Coeur. We hope to...

My wife and I booked a Privilege Room with a view of the Eiffel Tower for our 5 night stay in Paris. Everything about the hotel was outstanding. From our friendly check-in and welcome at reception, right through to the clean, quiet and comfortable room on the 9th floor. A minor technical issue initially with our wi-fi connection was quickly...

I stayed here for work on many occasions last visit was September for 2 nights. Modern, clean & relatively quiet. Pricey but worth it for the cleanliness. The only downside is breakfast - just don't bother.

This hotel was exactly what we hoped for. Clean, beautiful and modern decor, friendly staff, great location. We stayed on the top floor and had an incredible view of the city, complete with Eiffel Tower. The mattress was not the most comfortable in the world, but it served its purpose. We really loved that the room was provided with free...

I attended a professional course in this hotel. I am often in Paris, but here the quality was terrible. The roomwas small, but Okay for one person and neat. However, with breakfast you have to share your table with many other unknown guests. All coffee machines were out of order. The coffee and lunch break times was not adhered to....

Stayed for few days with a group tour. The hotel's location is near the Metro and bus stop. The Sacre Coeur basilica is an easy walk from the hotel and there is a funicular one can take to the top. Around the hotel area there are plenty of cafes/restaurants, the Moulin Rouge is just around the corner and also there's...

We stayed in the Hotel in September, it is close to metro and and some attractions. Very clean, good bed and quiet room. Monotonous breakfast, low quality espresso coffee. We stayed here in August and got engaged near the hotel, so may be biased! We didn't bother with breakfast as it seemed overpriced and there are more patisseries than you can shake a stick at in walking distance. On arrival, we found we'd been upgraded for free to a premier suite. The room was modern, comfortable and the shower...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
