This was a nice, clean budget hotel. The room was adequate. Our room looked out over the cemetery where we watched beautiful, big and unexpected snowflakes fall! The staff was very helpful with directions and even lent us a converter when ours didn't fit their...More

Hi Nina W,
Thank you very much for your compliments.
Actually, the metro station close to the Ibis Paris Montmartre is Place de Clichy. porte de Clignancourt is not far away with the metro lines 2 and 4.
We're very glad that you enjoyed the...More
I stayed there last week. the location is so wonderful. near the montmarte area and so energetic around. the hotel was so clean and comfort but it had no safe box and refrigerator and the price for breakfast was a little expensive.
Location is fantastic. Welcomed with a smile at reception, English fluent speakers and with great customer service.
I must say that the staff is EVERYTHING at this hotel, they wear no uniforms which was something nice, staff could wear their own clothes as long as...More
Reception area was awful...very dated a bit like an Australian youth hostel in the 90s.No information about breakfast, how much it was etc etc. Although the usual cramped Ibis rooms where clean & comfortable and we slept well..
We wouldn't return .
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy
features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.

Turn left out of the hotel, over the bridge and turn right onto rue Joseph de Maistre and just after the next junction there is a little restaurant called Un Zebre a Montmartre on the right - lovely food, good prices, good service, very French. If you don’t like the look of that there are a number of other eateries along that stretch.

Take the train from CDG to Gare du Nord, cost is around 19 euros. Tickets can be purchased from the self service machines, (in English). Then follow the signs to the Metro from the train station (internal) and take the metro to Place De Clichy. Very easy. I always walk from the train station and sit with a coffee after about 10 mins, just to take in the atmosphere.
