Rooms are tiny, just like the bathrooms. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and beds made a very loud noise when we'd move on it. A bit annoying but if you are a heavy sleeper like me, you won't have problems with it. Breakfast is decent. Location is AMAZING! Near bars, restaurants, shops, grocery stores.. 3min walk to train...

This hostel's greatest asset is it's amazing location! It's right in the heart of Montmartre (and not the dodgy end!), just down the road from the artist's square, is a short walk from the Sacre Coeur and surrounded by so many cafes, restaurants, bakeries, bars etc. It's also super close to the metro so great for getting around Paris! The...

Had all your basic needs, which is pretty much a place to sleep & a good shower. Great place to meet people if you stay in a multi-person room. No AC, gets hot on the higher floors in the spring/summer/fall. Windows open but it's not enough to cool it off. Great location. Staff is helpful. Would stay here again.

My experience at Plugg Inn was amazing. The friendly travelers and staff made it incredibly easy to meet people as a lone traveler. Plugg Inn is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. The bathrooms and kitchen are spotless and sheets and towels are replaces daily. Great heating and hot water at all times. The French breakfast was incredible....

We booked a room here over New Years for 4 people with a private bathroom and we paid quite handsomely for it... We were less than impressed. The staff were friendly and happy to help with directions and suggestions, however, this was the only good thing about the hostel. We arrived in our room and found two sets of bunk...

I was in Plug-Inn in June 2010. The accommodation was good, the bed, the bath, all clean and comfy for a few days stay. I shared a room with other girls and that was just fine. The trackbacks are that, at least for my experience, there's not enough common areas in the hostel to socialize with other travelers, and as...

Great hostel. We were only staying overnight in Paris and this place for perfect for what we needed. We had no problem finding it, but I can see where someone may get turned around looking for it. The spiral staircase is tight - fortunately we only had a backpack with us but I cannot imagine going up that thing with...

This place is located in the heart of Montmartre! Walking distance to Sacré Coeur, Moulin Rouge and Abbessess and Blanche metro stations. Location: Excellent! I've stayed in Paris before and had to rely on metro to get to most of the places, here you're in the center of Montmartre and the metro station is so close that you can get...

First off: I must say that this place had some of the friendliest staff I've ever met while traveling. Generally hostel staff is pretty nonchalant and matter-of-fact, but I found a real warm vibe here with the staff at the desk. The location is brilliant too: a couple of streets up from the Moulin Rouge, so you're right there in...

Great value, we had 3 beds private room with a tiny toilet & shower. Basic breakfast - croissant, bread, cereals, tea, coffee, juice. Great location, short walk to the metro station. It's close to the Moulin Rouge. Basic kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave. Friendly and helpful staff.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
