I stayed here over Valentines with my boyfriend. While it says 4 stars, it may only be 3 stars (by Irish standards). The décor, staff and room were nice, pleasant and clean respectively. I did have a small issue with breakfast, as my boyfriend is...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in
another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

It is pretty far, I don't recommend walking from the airport to the hotel. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, costs 55 euros, ouch!. We did called the hotel before the trip, was told it costs about 30 euros, wrong! We did complained to the manager about the misled quote. Anyhow, on our way back we took Uber to the train station, then from train station to the airport, costs a lot cheaper.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. The only thing I can imagine is that English is probably not their first language. The sleep g arrangements are usually a double bed with a pull out chair that turns into a single. The rooms are very small & if the single bed was out, there really was no place to walk. But, you are in Paris to see the sights, not stay in the room!
