Well, I know it's Paris and that it was always going to be expensive. But for £100 per night this place was well over priced. It is in a quietish location but for that it is a fair walk to the center of Paris around 2 miles. The hotel room was a bit like a Travelodge that was built in...

Full disclosure: We got an excellent deal on this hotel (by Paris standards). First, the positives: great location in a nice central neighborhood with subway access and more locals than tourists. Decent value, nice character block with windows that open - typically Paris. Room size was actually more than fair by Paris standards, I'd guess this was a small apartment...

We wouldn't have come if it weren't the most affordable lodgings in the whole of Paris, also it was very close to the Cadet train station for easy access to anywhere. Don't have too high expectations on the bedroom, but everything in there works fine and pretty clean. We didn't opt for their breakfast as there are tons of restaurants...

Stayed in January... Went with girlfriend to the love city, it was very cold due to time of year, but we had a brilliant time. The hotel is very convenient for travelling around city as near metro and eurostar. Very clean room and helpful reception.

This hotel was perfect for us, it is basic but sufficient for us as we were out and about most of the time. Loved the kight that flowed into our room and the view of the street. I felt part of Paris and alive when it was a alive. The location is the advantage - close to shops and transport...

This was probably the worst hotel we stayed in during our trip. Rooms are getting quite old now, bathrooms are quite dirty, our chair had ripped fabric and foam exposed. The room was just about 5 years past its used by date. OK ish location, but could be better, not super convenient unless you ride or train. Park view is...

I had a wonderful night there. The room was very comfortable and spacious, at least for me who was alone. The bed was the best. I choose not to have a breakfeast so there's nothing I can say about that. I'd come back there.

The English speaking staff was so friendly and helpful that I hate to give the hotel a thumbs down, but I'm afraid I must. I have been to Paris multiple times before, so do have experience with Parisian hotels. Unlike many other reviewers, I did not find the location appealing or particularly convenient. Close to metro line 7, Gare du...

We stayed here as a family of four, having two rooms for 3 nights. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, with comfortable beds. The double glazed windows reduced noise levels enough and it was nice to have views of the small park. There was some lack of storage and hanging space but this wasn't really a problem. We had breakfast...

Stayed her on my first visit to Paris several years ago. The hotel is located in a good area, close to the metro and breakfast is included! The hotel is clean and the bathrooms are a good size. As all hotel rooms in Paris, the rooms aren't large but you aren't there to spend your time in your room, are...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
