My wife and I booked this room as part of our honeymoon. We used Priceline bidding, and were very happy with the hotel (and the price). Very large rooms, king sized bed, nice view of the city out of the window. We ate once at the hotel restaurant, food was good but a bit pricey. The cafe is great in...

I always put a big emphasis on location for hotels. A Parisian told us of all the Marriotts scattered across Paris, book the Rive Gauche if we want to book one that has more of a neighborhood feel to it. It was a decent walk from the hotel to the Seine (we enjoy walking) but the location did make you...

I usually stay in budget properties but I got a deal I couldn't pass up, and I really enjoyed my large, beautiful, well-appointed room, complete with bathrobe, coffee-maker, in room safe, and fridge, and a spacious view overlooking the city. Wonderful location near 3 Metro stops, of which I would consider Glaciere to be the closest. If you're a business...

With this hotel the staff's enthusiasm, professionalism and training makes all the positive difference. I don't know if I have ever stayed in a hotel where everone--from the chambermaids, to concierge, to reception, to those selling coffee greeted you with a big smile and couldn't do more to help. Not just with what you ask. They try and exceed what...

My wife and I stayed there recently for three nights as part of a large group. We arrived in the afternoon and firstly had a very pleasant lunch in the restaurant. The a la carte lunch menu was quite good and the food was quite enjoyable with good sized portions. The bedroom, as a few others have commented, isn't huge...

Marriott hotel is just what you expected it to be . Great and attentive service at front desk. large and conferrable rooms (in Paris..!) Great breakfast and good location near the metro. I have spend 3 nights for business trip and enjoy and moment. Only comment is the extreme excessive charges for internet (Euro 20 for 24h). otherwise it is...

First, this is a beautiful example of a Marriott. When you arrive, it has a well-done facade and there are doormen and porters waiting to great you. Everyone I encountered here was professional, friendly, and looking to serve. This is not a typical French hotel in terms of style, decor, etc. I read several critical reviews because of its lack...

Service is professional, and the concierges knowledgeable. I didn’t have the breakfast here as I found the price to be hefty, especially with supermarket and nice eating establishments in the area. This is very much a business hotel, not much for character, impersonal and busy, but large, modern, and clean with good sized rooms and all the amenities you need...

We stayed in this hotel whilst travelling with insight vacations. The hotel is easily accessible to metro station within 5 mins walk. The hotel restaurant provided morning buffet breakfast. The food was great and provided a wide range of food to choose. The rooms are comfortable and tidy.

This is a large hotel geared toward a business clientele (judging by the look of it). It is not in the center, but it is a short subway away from most tourist sites. The area is safe and the rooms we got had a nice view of the city (12th floor). We only paid $150 per night for two people...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
