The location is Montparnasse / St. Genevieve du Prix . Great Metro subway access loads of cool restaurants to eat at. The Hotel and staff were exceptional, and greats you with a smile everyday. Room was clean and comfortable. Had a little balcony to sit out and watch the people below, quite charming. Visit the Montparnasse Tower for stunning views... More

We stayed here for three nights and we were very pleased with the location of our hotel. We were able to walk to most of the tourist sites, including e.g. the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, and Notre Dame, and there were many restaurants close the hotel. Transport to and from CDG airport was very easy since the AirFrance cars/busses stopped... More

The hotel is in a perfect location for transport but also for many of the great sites of Paris. We arrived at CDG airport and took the AirFrance car/bus direct to Montparnasse station (the station for excellent travel to the west of France). The bus costs 30 Euro return (cheaper if you book and print your ticket online) but it... More

We stayed for three nights and were really pleased with our choice of hotel. Although only really a 3*, it offered everything we needed for our stay: friendly reception staff, a nice clean, quiet room with a comfy bed and very modern bathroom, windows (that actually opened!) onto a pretty view, free wifi. The lift was absolutely tiny, so I... More

I know this is a late review, we stayed there in June of 2012, for our wedding honeymoon. Great little hotel, close to metro, shopping, restaurants. Very fair price at the time, quiet and clean. We had no complaints. I read before people complained about the size of the rooms. This is Europe not North America, rooms are smaller, deal... More

Hotel was lovely. Small room but have heard this is usual for Paris. Apparently we had a "Superior" room- not sure how it was "Superior" seemed fairly standard to me. Reasonable price for location. Staff very pleasant. Walls are thin though so if you are unlucky to have noisy neighbours this could be a problem, we had no issues though.

Hello john_hepburn, Thanks for your comment on Tripadvisor. Yes, that's true that Paris the room size - even superior one - is seriously impacted by the general problem of free surfaces. We payed a strong attention about your general comfort though. See you very soon in France. More

can't fault this hotel apart from the size, it was literally just a bed with a bathroom, we was lucky enough to have the room right next to the lift, so we heard every move it made which was annoying. the staff spoke okay English so that was a bit of help.

This is a cute French hotel in a busy neighborhood. Just a short walk to Gare Montparnasse, a modern train station loaded with shops. I've stayed in a handful of places in Paris, but this is definitely the best. Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

“Most rooms seemed to have elevator access, but not room 10, which we needed for its three beds. Stairs were tolerable.”

“If you get to your room and realise it is right next to the elevator possibly go back to reception and get another room. I talked to the people in this kind of room and they were saying it was not so great :( I think there are 5 floors of rooms and just 1 room on each floor is directly next top the elevator.”

“Higher floors have slightly less street noise. The little lift is rather noisy opening and closing. I had two rooms on the street side and I sleep lightly but as the windows are double glazed noise wasn't a problem at all.”
