Good location, friendly, helpful bilingual staff, clean. Limited views at best to non- descript street , tiny rooms ( even after we upgraded to superior) but much better than archetypal USA Best Wetern. We would stay again ( was choice of friends originally). You do hear noise from other rooms but fortunately for us, not at night.

A beautiful hotel. Very small rooms, but I think most hotels in paris are. The bathroom was tiny but clean and adequate for what we needed. The staff were lovely and very helpful, offering suggestions on places to eat (theres a great crepe place up the hill on the right hand side of the hotel, we had a lovely apple...

We spent three nights at this charming hotel, a 5-minute walk from the St. Michel metro station, near so many other places. The rooms were small but clean and very nice. The staff was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The wi-fi worked well everywhere. The breakfast was extra, but very nice. Many of...

Stayed in this hotel with my daughter and grandchildren and we had the top floor family room (aka the honeymoon suite!) which was excellent and very clean. Helpful advice was given at the desk about various trips and, has previously been said in other reviews, this hotel is within walking distance of so many attractions - we could see Notre...

We stayed at the BW Jardin de Cluny for 4 nights from Aug. 5 - 9, 2012. We had just returned from a Seine River cruise and wanted to spend a few more nights in Paris. The location of this hotel is in the Latin Quarter less than a ten minute walk to the intersection of Bd St. Germain and...

The hotel is only a few streets walk from Notre Dame, the Sorbonne, the Pantheon and the Luxembourg gardens, as well as the batobus on the Seine to give you a river ride to the Eiffel tower or Le Louvre. Our room & bathroom were exceptionally clean and seemed as if they had been newly decorated regardless if they had...

Trendy and modern hotel in the perfect location. I have been to Paris a dozen times for work and pleasure and this was my first time staying in the St Germaine area. This is a great hotel within steps of great bars, restaurants, cafe's and the Latin Quarter. The Louvre is a 15 minute walk and Notre Dame Catherdral is...

The hotel is in the middle of Qartier Latin, walking distance to everything you want to see in Paris (well, almost everything). Service is excellent and the price is reasonable. The bathroom is nice and modern. The only downside is that the superior room we had was very small, almost no room for the luggage. Breakfast was 15 Euro per...

We stayed in this hotel 5 weeks ago as a family of 5 in 3 rooms. I chose it based on the consistently good reviews in this forum. We were delighted. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. Location brilliant. It is in a quiet street very near Notre Dame, the river, the Latin Quarter and just around the...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
