The rooms were well appointed and had both a new and an old world feel to them. The drapes around the bed and the chairs along with the tile bathroom did them well. The breakfast, though small and continental, was perfectly good and the little dining area in the back was adorable. The hotel is located right across the street...

The hotel has a great location just across cafe flore and brasserie Lipp. The breakfast was a little disappointment, the rooms are clean but old fashioned. Should need some redecoration and update. The bathrooms has been refurbished and is okay but overall it's not fully 4 stars

Tiny wee quirky hotel just across from Les deux maggots and cafe de flore, 2 famous French cafes. The price you pay is for the area. We walked everywhere from there. 1 day got a pass for the hop on hop off bus which is a must. The rooms are quite small but it's Paris. Big bed and room around...

We loved the location of this hotel and it felt like we were among the Parisian people rather than in another tourist hotel. Unfortunately my wife was having problems with her knee so accessing Paris via the metro was not possible but with a taxi rank outside the door we could go anywhere and taxi was certainly more interesting than...

Within walking distance of most attractions on the Seine, this was a good location. There are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood and a metro station one block away and taxi station right outside the door. The beds were comfortable. Room was small but had everything we needed. Breakfast was one of the best we had in Paris with plenty...

I was pleasantly surprised with this cozy and charming hotel in Paris. It's an old building but it's relatively clean and well-maintained. It's also located in a very convenient area, within walking distance to the Notre Dame, shopping, restaurants. The staff are very polite and helpful. I highly recommend the breakfast.

The Au Manoir is truly a hidden gem in Saint Germain De Pres. If you are searching for charm and location at a reasonable price you can do no better than M. Azziz's little inn in the heart of St Germaine. Manager Azziz is a wealth of knowledge and he and his team (multi lingual) can assist and attend to...

The hotel was not even close to four stars. Maybe two but only because of the location. The accommodations were very cramped. They did not supply wash clothes instead they used disposable clothes much like a Clorox Clean-Up. You walk directly into the bathroom when up enter the room...so if you're in the shower the person entering the room will...

Dear Madam, We sincerely regret to read your comments regarding your stay at the hotel Au Manoir Saint-Germain des Pres. First of all, we can inform you that the room you were staying in was 20 meter square, and it is more than the 4 stars hotel standard which is 16 square meter. Regarding the housekeeping service that was not...

As other reviewers have stated, this hotel is in a great location. Taxis waiting right outside the hotel, metro stop five minutes away, and within walking distance of many attractions. The rooms are small and when you book a triple (a cot setup next to the bed), the room becomes even smaller. For folks who aren't used to traveling in...

If you want the perfect location for your visit to Paris, Hotel Au Manoir will not disappoint. Yes, the rooms are smaller than your corporate hotels, but you gain the traditional Parisian ambience and decorations. The beds were comfortable and the shower was a pleasant surprise. Walking distance to many sights, restaurants, churches, and shopping. Small elevator to help with...

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
