Positive - the location is convenient to the train station Gare de Lyon; allowed us to store our bags; helpful with directions Negative - no toilet paper, room was not clean, not enough towels, English speaking staff limited, expensive, didn't feel safe

This is a very very overpriced hotel with terrible standard. It was a complete joke that we will forever remember. D*mn hotels.com for selling this to us and make us pay in advance. But the location was good close to la bastille.

We stayed here when we first got to Paris, there was an old man at the desk who spoke no English, it was a very unwelcoming start to our trip. We were told we were unable to check in until 2pm (which was fine) but arrived back at the room after 2pm and had to wait until 3:15pm. Absolutely no...

Please STAY AWAY from this hostel, it is not safe. I had an extremely terrible experience with this place, to the point where I had to leave and find another hostel. Huge warning to my LGBTQ friends out there as well, I saw a worker behind the desk turn away two customers because they were gay. The main lady with...

The location is very convenient for the Gare de Lyon. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was recently renovated with a nice new bathroom. I took a cheaper room which was quite small and the window had no view. This is to expected for the price. Unfortunately there is no lift and the stairs are very narrow...

We were a school group of eleven teenagers and nine adults on a three week tour across France. The hotel was disgusting. The first room we were put in was on the top floor. It was hard enough carrying suitcases up all those narrow spiral stairs (no elevator) but our room stunk of sewage. We 'camped' in the room next...

We stayed at Hotel le Mediteraneen for one night en route to London. I can honestly say I have never stayed in a hotel with quite such awful hygiene standards. The ceiling in our room was crumbling apart and we felt that at any minute the ceiling might fall in on us! The room was filthy. The pillow cases had...

We were travelling with 21 school students& 4 staff on a 3 week tour of Europe & this would have to have been the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The reception staff were friendly enough if you could communicate in French. The rooms were extremely small & scarcely fitted each group of girls, plus bags. There was a...

This is among the dirtiest, unfriendliest hotels we have ever been to. The rooms are extremely small (it was not possible to walk between the beds) bedding was stained (pillow cases clearly had not been washed, just turned inside out), the floors, toilets and appliances where filthy. There were no towels, no soap, no toilet paper in any of the...

I took a group of 35 to this hotel, a mix of single students supposed to be in triples and married couples booked for doubles. Rooms were booked well in advance. When we arrived, they presented us with rooms that were intended to have about half the spaces of our group total and professed to have nothing more. In the...
