I stayed there from April 9 to 11 as part of my trip to Paris. It is probably the most subtle, understated yet classy, comfortable and exciting place to stay. The view from the room is fabulous. What better than to wake up to the Pantheon. Very French in its architecture and styling with fabric draped walls, a cosy bed,...

Our room was romantic, convenient, and chic. We had a bathtub and a shower. A comfy sofa where to put our stuff. We could hear the birds chirping (room 15). A veritable oasis of tranquility. The breakfast, another feast!

Really really enjoyable stay. Superb location with a number of excellent restaurants close by. We went for a balcony room which added a nice dimension to our stay. Young staff were very helpful. The continental breakfast set up the day well each morning. Really loved the area and the hotel and just came back each evening to relax after full...

Booked direct with hotel as it was much cheaper than other booking websites, and from the moment of booking, received a series of very friendly messages from hotel staff, welcoming us, asking me if they could do anything to help before our arrival (and in perfect English). We chose a Pantheon view room as it is such a beautiful monument,...

Very nice three star hotel in a super (and quiet) location on Place du Panthéon. If you upgrade you can get a room with a large balcony looking out at the Panthéon. Although very close to all the sights of the Latin Quarter, Jardin du Luxembourg, shopping around St Sulpice, nightlife around rue St André des Arts and the RER...

My experience at the Hotel des grands hommes has been simply perfect. Great position, nice view of the Phanteon, amazing people. The room was big and clean. I will for sure come back here when I'll be again in Paris.

Great hotel in a fab location . Opposite the pantheon . About 15 mins from the seine and Notre dame. Up a hill. Luxembourg gardens nearby. Traditionally furnished , clean and quiet. Small bedroom but that's totally normal for Paris. Our room had a small balcony ( room 21) the only one we think , so we could sit outside...

A very friendly hotel and nice rooms. Room are cosy which is most rooms in Paris. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately the only thing I can fault is the internet connection which was dreadful. Sad to say that this matters in Paris but in this day and age we are all connected whether you like it or not. To be fair...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and enjoy every day there. Everything in the room, including furniture and wallpaper, was very cozy and nice, it was just a pleasure to stay in the room. We had a room with a view on Pantheon and we really enjoyed it! The location is great - close to the subway, Jardin...

Great hotel right next to le pantheon. Room 14 is a standard double but has a terrace (with table and chairs) at the back. No view to speak of but if that's something you're into, worth knowing! Room smallish but with long hallway with bathroom (inc. bath) and separate toilet, coming off it, then the bedroom part at the end....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
