The good; - location on the I"lisle Saint Louis is perfect. - the daytime gentlemen concierges are professional and very helpful. - the decor is wonderfully decorated in French pictures, etc. Rooms have high ceilings and large gorgeous old windows that open up to the streets. -Renovated bathrooms with awesome high, powerful shower heads. Not so good; - arrived late...

we love this small 20 room hotel right smack in the middle of Paris - small is the word with cosy rooms, very well appointed but not for the overloaded traveller. 5 minutes walk to Notre-Dame with a few nice small restos around. Most efficient and reasonable shuttle service (with our names on a well-visible sign) the driver (amongst others...

We love being on the L'Isle Saint Louis due to the proximity of Notre Dame, Left Bank, Right Bank and the lovely island itself. Rooms are small in general, we had the top floor triple which was decent sized. Front desk service was very helpful in arranging transfers, checking in and out, etc. Bathrooms upgraded so great shower. Although small...

I had done a bit of research of small boutique hotels and ended up choosing Saint-Louis en I'Isle and could not have been more pleased! The room was everything I was hoping - quaint, comfortable, cozy and very clean! The room and the hotel itself made me feel at home. My room was a corner room and not large by...

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this hotel. What marks this hotel (from others that we have stayed at in this area) is the people. The reception staff were constant in their efforts to trace our missing luggage and we noted that they went the extra mile for other guests as well. We had a very comfortable and quiet room.

We spent a week in the two top floor rooms with two adults, two teens. It was our home away from home for a wonderful week in Paris! The location is amazing! And the street had everything we needed (cheese, bread, market, ice cream). The staff, especially Denis, were very helpful making sure we had everything we need, helping with...

So what's good - the location is perfect; in a heatwave, the air conditioning & general coolness of the room were a blessing & the reception staff were exemplary & helpful though, at times, a little quirky & forgetful. Let me interject in saying that I am more than aware of the sensibilities required in the updating & renovation of...

We had a corner room which had a beautiful outlook over the street however I could imagine it would be noisy in the peak summer crowds. The room was clean and spacious. Quaint location to explore several different areas of Paris. Not the most helpful front of house staff but good value for money in the location.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights, it was a truly Parisian experience. It was clean, safe, smallish, breakfast was perfect for us, (husband, two teen daughters and mother in law.) It is not at all lavish, but meets your needs. I wish the sheets were bit nicer, and the pillows were a bit fluffier, but all and all,...

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
