Got a great deal for this lovely hotel right in the centre of Paris. Location is fantastic. Rooms have been renovated. Our room was massive. we upgraded to a superior when we got there but it only cost about 10 euros extra. Staff were very very friendly.

It is a hotel that you really long to go back to and get some rest after a long and exhausting tour de Paris. Excellent decoration and very helpful and kind staff. A very beautiful cafe right next to it. Near metro station (which place isn't in Paris?...) We would certainly book there again without hesitation.

Just back from a fantastic trip to Paris. We really liked the clean and modern rooms, however it was very small. We are used to travelling around europe and smaller rooms etc, but i dont know if this was just our luck at this hotel but the room was the smallest we have come across. The location is fantastic 5...

We booked Hotel Opal for the weekend and it was a perfect base. Within walking distance of thr Champs-Elysee and many other tourist sights. The hotel looks newly refurbished and the room was very well presented. It was very quiet too. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed there just before New Years day and enjoyed by stay. The room was on the third floor and was immaculately decorated. The bathroom was also very well appointed. Not that it spoilt my stay, but there were a few small niggles – a small bottle of water form the minibar in the room cost €5 or €6 from...

We stayed in this hotel for five days in July and we really had a wonderful experience . The hotel is nicely located right next to the printemps galleries , with a metro station right across the street. The rooms are tiny , the elevator is tiny , the bathroom is tiny but everything is impeccably clean , modern and...

After reading the reviews of the hotel Opal (latest was in 2007), I visited the hotel website and saw that the hotel was completely renovated. We booked out stay and got a great rate on a popular booking website. We were delighted that every room and every corner of the hotel was totally renovated in a modern, clean style. The...

PARIS... Need I say anything more? The Hotel Opal was a nice little hotel that was in a great area. The furnishings were pretty old and the beds were not that great. However, I must say I got my monies worth. The subway station was a 3 minute walk to the right of the hotel and the transit system was...

I was a little apprehensive after seeing the other reviews here but our experience was very good. On arrival the english speaking staff were very friendly. Our room was very nice if a little shabby but in a charming 'french' way! We had real silk wallcoverings and the bathroom was lovely. There was a bit of a noise problem as...

We stayed on the 3rd floor and never heard any sonic boom either. The most we heard was a rumble for a few seconds when a metro departed/arrived underground. We had no problem sleeping through the gentle rumble. Our room was OK except for some black mushroom growth spreading over the ceiling cracks above our bed. We joked that it...
