My husband and I stay at this lovely little hotel for 3 nights at the end of March. We arrived at 10.30pm and checked in, the male receptionist was vague, but undeterred we made our way to our top floor room. Our first impressions weren't good, the room was small and so was the bathroom. We decided to go for...

I chose this spot because it was walking distance to the Notre Dame Cathedral. It was very clean, check in went flawless and it was nice and quiet. The front desk staff guy that worked the morning shift (I cannot remember his name) was absolutely awesome. Super helpful, very accommodating and always had a smile on his face when you...

The middle is in the middle of the Latin quarter. Nonetheless, it is in a quite street. Metro is just 5 minute walk whereas RER station just 10 minutes with direct transportation to Versailles The reception is small and but welcoming. The service at the dusk was smooth and efficient both at check in and check out. The room are...

The young receptionist with long black hair that was working on the 25th of February at 9:00 pm was extremely rude and unhelpful... He told me that his name is Vorg or something like that... I asked him a wine opener and he just didn't care, only checked one drawer and said they do not have any left... I said...

The room was clean and quiet, with good, dark curtains. The location is great - close to left bank attractions and to the Metro. Desk staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is a great deal for the price. There is a small elevator which was useful for getting the luggage up to the room.

In a quiet side street surrounded by bookshops, sports shops, comics shops, universities, cafes, bistrots, movie theaters etc... , a very cosy and neat hotel. Better enjoy the exquisite cafes around for breakfeast.

I've stayed at Le Home Latin before but this time it was on my honeymoon. The room was clean, if a bit small. But we weren't there to stay in the room. The location can't be beat (walking distance from Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter, one block from the Metro). The price was excellent, and not just for the...

This hotel is very comfortable. Small rooms, but that is typical for Paris. We paid approx 550 euros for a 3 night stay in a Family 'suite'. The suite comprised of 2 separate bedrooms (the smaller of which had its own toilet, no handbasin however). The main bedroom comprised of a double bed, desk & chair, occasional chair and a...

we've stayed in the Intercontinental last time for 5 times the price and except the lobby there was not much difference. actually service was friendlier in the Home Latin. all hotels in Paris are quite basic, and this property was very clean and close to all the attractions.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
