Good location - close to metro stations, pubs, restaurants, cafe's, and within walking distance of the centre of Paris. Wi-fi connection was a bonus although very slow. Very small room - not sure if all rooms were the same but nonetheless... Upon arrival, staff gave us wrong room so we were trying to open a room door that had people...

This is a great hotel, in a good spot for sightseeing etc. Helpful staff, clean rooms. All good. The only slight downside was that the safe in the room wasn't working, which meant a choice between leaving stuff in the room or carrying it with us. Maybe we should have told them, but as we were only there a couple...

Great location, nice rooms and hospitality. The only problem we faced is late check in due to lateness to prepare the rooms because they only have two maids for the whole 24-room hotel. We arrived at 1.30 pm they said leave your bags and go for a walk and come back at 2 pm , when we came back at...

No matter what, stay away. While perfectly situated in MONTPARNASS this hotel is horrible. Rooms are so tiny you can't open a suitcase let alone live it open. Not enough towels, a/c hardly works etc. We booked it for 5 nights left after the first and paid "fine" for the second but felt necessary to leave. Bad memory

The hotel was based in a busy area of Montparnasse and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. The hotel staff were pleasant and the hotel clean. The only criticisms I'd have were that the double bed was two single beds pushed together and as these had wheesl you fell down the gap in the middle. The room is advertised...

Room was pretty small and the building itself was a bit small and old. Perfect location, 5 minute walk from the metro which will get you anywhere. Was a cheap option but you get what you pay for as they say. Breakfast not included in booking price and you pay at the end of your stay so my advice would...

I visited Paris with my mother in March 2015. We chose this hotel because of it's good location in southern Ile-de-Paris (Montparnasse). Good shopping opportunities nearby (such as Galerie Lafayette). Metro stations in walking distance and a railway station nearby made moving around the city easy. The Hotel is in walking distance of a beautiful park Le Jardin du Luxembourg....

After my Eurostar train was cancelled I had to wait 24 hours before I could get another train, Rather than hang around Gare du Nord I nipped off to Montparnasse around the pleasant Edgar Quinet Metro station surroundings. I was immediately found a room by friendly and helpful staff. It was on the fifth floor with a good amount of...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
