The hotel is very nice, clean, good sized rooms for paris and fairly modern...we even had a bath which was unexpected!! The hotel staff are pretty friendly too! However the area the hotel is in is not great. ....actually it is not so much the area, but the strange men in the area!! I stayed here with my sister and...

So I booked my room on their website directly, that is where you can get the best rate. Let me tell you that this place is pretty nice considering the fact that their king sized bedrooms are only ~70 Euros a night. When I went their I spent my first night in their cheapest room (I was on a real...

Stayed here for 4 nights. The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is the location if you are planning to go see Moulin Rouge show at night - but even then, I think you can do better with other hotels nearby. The room that my friend and I were shown to was very very small (but...

While in Paris we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in a standard double room. Like most hotels in Paris the room iteself was very small for a double room. We were travelling with 2 large rucksacks, and we found it difficult to find room to place the 2 bags! On the plus side, the room, the bed and...

We stayed at the Libertel in dec & experienced a typical french winter! From the airport it took us approximately an hr to get to the hotel as our taxi got caught in traffic along the way and charged about 40euros! (For first timers in france this seemed very expensive! Note to all travelling to and from this area, use...

The hotel was fine as far as service goes. Nice clean room with modern bathroom. Cleaning was done daily along with towel change etc... We had no noise problem but you can certainly hear some shouting around 5:00 AM when small groups finally exits the local bars around the main boulevard which is just a few meters away. As location...

Considering how cheap this hotel is, it is truly good value in considering it has nice decor, is in a good location and has friendly staff. The double room we had was small, but no smaller then anywhere else I have stayed in Paris. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and the noise level wasn't too bad. We...

We booked 3 twin bedded rooms (6 females ages range 40-60), on arrival only 1 twin bed, rest double, however the following morning we were offered an exchange to twins. The rooms were extremely clean, towels changed each morning and the bedrooms, although not over large were certainly bigger than we had experienced previously in both Paris and Holland). Our...

I stayed in a single room at 75 euro per day. For this price one could do a LOT worse in Paris. I found the room to be clean, small, but acceptable with private bathroom/shower. Free wireless access point -a rarely found perk in Europe. Blow dryer in a shower, TV. I think it is a good value for the...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
