We quite enjoyed our stay in the hotel however not sure its so well maintained. The elevator broke down twice while we were there and once with us and another couple on board. We were stuck in the tiny elevator for over an hour and while the housemaids were very sweet as we rang the emergency bell many times management...

Dear Linda F, In order to ensure the best safety and security at the hotel we work with the best suppliers. Schindler, the international group in charge of the elevators intervened the night before your check-out. Clearly, they did not do a good job. As the elevator failed to perform, we acted immediately to arrange the situation. That same day,...

Simple but charming and quiet. Pleasant concierge , centrally located and reasonable. Ideal for those who respect bring quiet. Most rooms look into a small courtyard avery, which is charming but carries every sound if not careful ;) Situated right behind the magnificent architecture of Saint Sulpice church. Simple Buffet breakfast included?excellent rates too in comparison.

This is a small hotel in one of the best neighborhoods in Paris. Easy walking to wonderful restaurants, shops, and museums. We loved the size of the hotel -- small enough to be quaint and charming, but large enough to be comfortable. Our room was quiet and lovely, overlooking the central courtyard. The bathroom had a tub, which was great...

I have stayed in many small hotels in this area since 1968. Loved them, sent friends there and in each case they would soon "remodel" and raise their prices. The Relais Hotel St Sulpice is just my style and I am assured the owners have no intention of "remodeling". Be sure to go to the church at the end of...

If you prefer a small unique hotel and want to be in the popular St Germain area of Paris this gem tucked behind the church of the same name is perfect. It is beautifully decorated with charm and has interesting touches such as wonderful floor tiles. Most rooms open onto a lovely small courtyard filled with roses and vines around...

The four-star hotel Relais St Sulpice is in the center of one of the nicest districts of Paris, St Germain. It is exactly behind the Saint Sulpice church. The blue painted entrance gives you a warm welcome, with a couple of columns with plants. The lobby is like a cozy home, with a fireplace, and velvet covered armchairs. Rooms are...

Stayed 3 nights with business colleagues attending an exhibition in Paris. The hotel is tucked away behind the Saint Sepulchre cathedral, and is a historic building in its own right. Near the Luxembourg quarter, with impressive official buildings. Close to a taxi rank and a short walk (5 to 10 min) from the nearest metro (StGermain des Pres or St...

I really enjoyed my stay here as it made sightseeing very easy. Located close to many interesting landmarks including the Luxembourg Gardens. Great restaurants and markets nearby. Staff were great and the rooms were very French---lots of character. Big bathrooms which is unusual in the smaller European hotels.

Small boutique hotel. Staff were very friendly. However, I found my room to be a disappointment. It was very small and drab in terms of decor. The bathroom, however, was excellent. Well equipped and excellent high quality toiletries. Small, pleasant breakfast area, with typical offerings. Very nice indeed. Not cheap: would have been ideal Mir the room had been better.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
