We found this place gratefully after having a terrible experience with a robbery attempt at the Hotel Peyris Opera. They were wonderful to us and gave us rooms far below their stated price. Rooms were clean and lovely. Views of a really nice little courtyard. GREAT location near a wonderful neighborhood with lots of great places to eat. Only downside...

Little room on the interior courtyard was quiet and perfect for sleeping of jet lag! Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating helping with taxis and restaurant reservations. Great location.

Very close to Luxemburg Gardens and St-Germain des Prés. Easily accessible by metro. Amazing restaurants close by (Julians, and Chez Henry). Staff is friendly. A/C was a bit iffy in our room (good thing the weather was not too hot). No free Wifi???? This is 2011! Everyone has free Wifi. Security is a bit lax. Walked in one afternoon after...

Some nice things, some not so nice things. Location is pretty okay - side street just outside Latin Quarter, a few minutes hike to Metro stop, and maybe 15-20min walk to NotreDame. Surprisingly large rooms for a European boutique hotel. A renovated large home, with decent beds, nice amenities, good breakfast. Small number of staff, bar in sitting room off...

This hotel is ideally situated just minutes off the Blvd. St. Germain on a quiet, sweet street directly across from the Saint Sulpice church. The exterior of the hotel is charming beyond compare. That's where my compliments end. My friend stayed here ten years ago and, sadly, in that time they have not done much to update the hotel. Tiny...

Turned up at one of its sister hotels that was overbooked (no fault of the hotel) and was relocated to the Relais Saint Sulpice. What an absolute Charmer! My room was so impressive that I took loads of photos on my mobile before I unpacked and made it messy. The receptionist at both hotels were extremely helpful especially towards a...

Budget 3-star hotel in Saint Germain des Pres adjacent to Saint Sulpice church (great location), with a very charming and inviting exterior and reception/lounge, however, rooms are tiny (Paris size) and pretty old. Needs some investments and upgrades to the rooms, then I would recommend it. Right now, I wouldn't stay there again (despite the very friendly staff).

I've stayed several different places in the latin Quarter and this is the best. It has the three things most affordable Paris hotels do not -- quiet rooms, large rooms, and air conditioning that works. The front desk staff were wonderful, helpful (made our restaurant and taxi reservations for us), and spoke excellent English. The beds were good and the...

We had a wonderful stay at this little gem of a hotel for 6 nights at the beginning of July 2010. The staff were so kind and friendly and could not do enough to help us, recommending restaurants, answering questions that every tourist passing through their doors must ask and generally making our stay so very pleasant. As my husband...

The location of this quaint little hotel is superb. It is within easy walking distance of many wonderful restaurants, cafes, shopping, and sights. It is within a 2-3 minute walk of 3 Metro stations and within 8-9 minutes of a RER/Metro station that connects to Charles DeGaulle Airport. Our room was not large, but it was adequate. One drawback was...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
